Hmmmm was hoping to land Rodgers later on but picking him ahead of Brady, Favre, Marino is a little ambitious. Although you can argue he is the most talented among them but just doesn't have the longevity yet.

Is longevity an issue? .... Led to believe it is not a factor in this Draft. Any player chosen is to be measured at the Primetime of their career. So a Barry Sanders retiring early is irrelevant or a Terrell Davis? It's the impact or domination when they hit the field.

Is this correct Commish?

Yes it is... You are getting the person you draft at their peak.

I disagree, I think there are people who would rank Randy Moss as the GOAT, he absolutely was a bigger game changer than Rice. Rice was a great receiver who did it for longer than anyone at a high level but defenses didn't fear him the way they did Moss.

You have to be kidding. Look at Rice's numbers in his prime. More catches, for more yards, and frequently more TDs. Teams were terrified by Rice and he did it in a time where people could hold and claw you. Jerry Rice is untouchable at this point. The only person that may be able to catch him eventually is the guy I just selected.

I will make my picks after Nos, it might be a little late but I am the last to pick tonight. I will try and get back ASAP, but I have to babysit my neighbors kid for a bit she had an emergency. the picks will be up tonight though.

Okay, since you said so.... Teams did not game plan or draft corners just to play Rice, they did do that for Moss.

One other thing about Rice and Moss, look at their average seasons.

Rice 1144 yards 9.85 TD's
Moss 1092 yards 11.14 TD's

And remember who was throwing them the ball during their careers.

Alright, well i'm in work late tomorrow so i'll be sleeping for a bit in the morning. I'm gonna get around a 15 player list ready and sent it to Nos, that way I don't get punished again or yelled at :)

Told you I will be more prepared.

You have to also look at the eras Rice and Moss played in. Rice played in an era where to win you ran the ball. The 49ers of the 80s were balanced 50/50 run to pass. Also Rice played with better better offensives talent which got the ball a lot. Craig, Taylor, Jones, Rathman etc. all played at high levels other than Carter Moss had no one to take catches away from him.

Moss also didn't run the whole route tree, and was a sub par/unwilling blocker in the run game. Moss had leaps and bounds more natural talent then Rice but in the NFL its 90% mental and Moss lacked in that aspect where Rice excelled.

Rice is #1 Receiving yards of all WR's

Rice is #1 in TD's for all WR's
