Listen i came from Europe in the 60's because my parents didn't like the situation, so they left. I'm staying here and never leaving. God Bless America, the flag, all the soldiers and cops that risk their lives daily and the lost from the 9/11 tragedy 15 years ago.
Then suggesting that protesters leave (because they bother you) is no more an option for them than it is you. Besides, that's childish. Learn to get along.

Did I get mad when you told me to leave? Others that get mad when I said it are the childish ones. I get along with 99% of the adult poster here and not with the 1% children. I'm not here to argue and never bash another player or team , I don'y worry what the Jones's do, just worry about my house

Boycotting on 9/11 seems weak.

The anniversary of the deaths of thousands, a lot of them first responders that ran to trouble when everyone was running away!

Those officers and firefighters didn't think I may be saving a black, muslim, hispanic, they just did their job and paid the ultimate sacrifice. We honor them as well when we stand for the national anthem. They won't get another day to express their thoughts and beliefs.

We are so quick to express our beliefs with these actions, maybe to quick IMO, that we forget what we are really doing. We stand to support the men and women that made this country, to include the Tuskegee Airmen and the Buffalo soldiers, the first responders that tried to get the mother and child out of harms way during the Dallas BLM protest.

And it offends me that a person's only recourse is to shit on the one moment when we are all supposed to come together. That anthem, that flag, that moment doesn't know racism or bias.

I believe these guys have every right to express their beliefs if I agree or not. But I also get to express an opinion. And I think their is a better way to protest and support your cause. I think most of these guys wouldn't be caught dead in the same neighborhoods these cops go into regularly and that they walk away from the field and don't give this cause a second thought until next week.

Anyone who shoots because they feel threatened by an unarmed person shouldn't be a cop. Whatever happened to shoot to wound, not kill anyway? Are these cops that sketchy with a weapon?
In the AF we were taught to do just that by regulations, at the range we were taught center mass and or head shots. You shoot like your trained.

Actually that never existed. (shoot to wound). Cops hit 1 in 6 with a handgun when they pull the trigger, so they are trained to shoot center mass. Shooting hands (or guns) is TV/movie fiction.

What you posted earlier on Boston though is on point. Community policing, getting cops to know and relate to the people they're policing, that's where the success is.

I didn't tell you to leave the country. I just said you could follow your own advice to the protesters.

ANYONE leaving or telling anyone should leave because they are protesting is childish (instead of learning to get along), is what i said.

I have been sparring with this guys for awhile. If you tell your friend something jokingly, don't take it literally. But then some people stick their nose in late and don't understand

If they really care so much, they'd retire from the NFL and go work for the police department. You don't have a national anthem to start work every day and you could actually do something to stop all these injustices they are pretending to care about.

Don't be ridiculous. People are capable of some degree of multi-tasking & and caring about multiple issues while doing other things.

it's idiotic because they will achieve nothing other than pissing people off for their poor choice of venue.

"wait.. a handful of players aren't standing for the anthem? i get it now. all the protestors, signs, rallies, stories, news coverage, movements, rioting.. i didn't understand it the least bit. but these guys, kneeling instead of standing? i totally get it now. wow! changes will surely happen because of this!"

all these morons have to do is say it to reporters. no one even noticed kaepernick's dumb, suddenly terrorist looking ass when he first did it. as annoying as i find protestors, at least they are actually out.. risking jail time and giving up a piece of their time. these clowns are just taking the easy, selfish route (at least for now.)

It's mainly a bunch of right wing racist who have an issue with Kap and Marshall, but ya know to each their own.

Just more proof that the term "racist" in 2016 is irrelevant and meaningless. Everyone that disagrees with you is racist. What a great mindset to have.

Yes, but put your money where your mouth is. Otherwise they are essentially pussies. Other activists who people are comparing these athletes to, Ali, MLK etc weren't afraid to feel the reprocussions of their protests. Not saluting the flag won't move the needle an iota for these supposed injustices. Donating money, time etc isn't going to do one thing. Change careers where you can use your fame and influence and change the culture of PD departments if they are so bad.

Well thank god it's impossible for weapons to be concealed.

As far as the shooting ability of cops...are you basing your judgement off your video game experience???

I don't play video games, for I am not a child.

They don't have to change careers. They didn't change careers and we are STILL discussing this topic and keeping it in the news cycle almost a month since it started. Kaep didn't stand for two weeks and nobody noticed until week3. Now more and more are following suit and drawing more attention.

You have to know about a problem before it can be addressed and fixed. Drawing attention to a problem is a great way to start.

Kaep is donating his first $1M earned this year, plus his take from jersey sales (although I'm not sure it really works that way) to the cause.

Some of you guys are getting awfully upset over "not saluting the flag won't move the needle". These guys know that can't individually do anything about the issue, so they're trying to get more and more people to take notice and pressure their local congressman or whomever.
