Ok guys crazy keeper league
ppr 1pt

we play 11 the usual 4 Qb-K-DF-TE+

2Rb
3REc(WR-TE)
2 Flex (WR_RB)

any player kept in consecutive years costs you your best available pick with a cap of 4 BA Keepers

the catch is the older Keepers are being grandfathered in to the new rules where by ---

and ill use the players involved thus Spiller is a 7 this year and then any older player is bumped 5 rounds per year until he reaches the BA value

thus Spiller is a 7 then a 2 then a BA keeper

Rashad J is a 17 than a 12 than a 7 than a 2 then a BA

now i think Spiller is the better player however if we tag on the keeper price well...

my roster is academic it is stacked and the biggest reason why we are grandfathering towards these new rules...i want to give the boys a break and keep it interesting ..really only 1 other steady team

ok Finally

Choose a side

we name Keepers tomorrow night

A--Spiller
Round 7 pick 7
Round 9 pick 7
Round 10 pick 7

for

B-- Rashad Jennings
Round 7 pick 2
Round 9 pick 2
Round 10 pick 2

At the risk of sounding bias...I'd take the Spiller side. Jennings might have a year in him, but I'm not sure about much further than that.

All the stuff about the rules for the keepers makes my head spin. . Regardless, I like Spiller more than Jennings

The draft picks are pretty minimal. By the 7th round your drafting all preference anyway So it's all about spiller vs Jennings. Spiller has potential to be first round value while Jennings does not. So I would keep spiller

Andre WIlliams being a virtual lock for anything inside the ten doesn't bother you? And the way he's looked to me thus far in the preseason, I wouldn't be too shocked if he took more than that..even if the Grumpy Old man doesn't like playing rookies. Not a big believer in Jennings, but could just be me

see i dont see williams as a lock for carries inside the ten........

have you seen or read anything besides speculation to suggest that?

jennings is 231 lbs, and not a rookie, coughlin doesnt like rookies........

Jennings and williams both looked decent in game............pre season game 2 they both looked good jennings looked better..........game 3 they both stunk........

and coughlin hates rookies.......he didnt trust wilson a first round rb, much less a fourth.......who cant pass protect....

I dunno just not seeing the hype to steal all these carries

lol..You said Coughlin hates rookies twice..probably on purpose no? ;)

Jennings might be 231, but he's also fairly tall, he's not a power back, even though his measurables suggest he should be. He doesn't run like he is one hardly ever at least. I like the way Williams lowers the boom at contact, he's just a more powerful runner, so given that he's received almost %100 of the practice work with the first team inside the five, (according to The NY Daily News) and what I personally see with my eye test, yea I feel Williams will be option A around the goal line more often than not.

well im usually close to the smokin skulls thinking

but Steelers whealing and dealing have openned eyes

and seeing this league is half way to dynasty
i did the deal

i have

D.Thomas at 7
Martin at 17
a pick at 27
Gio at 23 and Julio at 27
at pick at 37
Jimmy G at 47
so i took the bump up in round 7 from 57 to 52
Demarco at 67
and took the bump in rounds 9 and 10

with all those Keepers i figure the bumps in rounds 7 9 10 may be well worth it

so Spiller is gone i never trusted him lots of talent but is he the next Wilson who i had and lost with
and Rashad in round 17 in awesome value for sure and if he goes off you know ill sell high

Thanks for all the input guys.....

the value for this season is crazy though where your drafting him, even if williams steals goal line

It does not even matter if Spiller is better than Jennings, this was a great trade for you.

Spiller really only has keeper value this season, because he is unlikely to be worth a second round pick next year. Even if he is, the value you get from that option would be marginal at best.

I do not see Jennings as a long term option, but I do really like him for this year. His value is comparable to Spiller's. The fact that you are able to draft him in round 17 this season makes his keeper value worth far more than Spiller's. Add in the draft pick bump and this deal is a no brainer, huge win for you. Nice work.

I mean really. If you were drafting today and could only pick one, who would honestly rather have Spiller in the 7th than Jennings in the 17th? At that price, Jennings could bust entirely and still be a value. Also, I find it ironic that people were talking about Williams taking red zone carries, but neglected to mention Jackson.
