Or if the Tuck Rule isnt called

Or if Billy Cundiff doesnt miss a 20 yard FG

Or if Pete Carroll wasnt born

Then we don't get the first SB. Hey Gostkowski missed his first XP ever against the Broncos last year and could have cost the Pats an OT chance, but no ifs here. I thought Pete Carroll was a decent coach here for the short time and he has been an outstanding coach in Seattle . Not only their first SB but a few in a row and the biggest ass whopping of the no#1 offense in history

Everyone but the Pats suck, we know the rules

Team was playing for their playoff lives

At times they do, it's just that in their case it's much more rare compared to all the other teams over the last couple of decades.

That was much more a bad pass than shitty hands by Welker.

Oh no, not this again. Welker had his hands on the ball. At that point whether he had to turn to his right or his left is moot. He typically brings that in.

The only point is luck and drops and catches, etc. is all part of the game, and all of it has played a huge part in all of the Pats rings over the past 15 years

Do wide open WR's typically have to lay out for catches?

Just asking

He might be, doesnt make it right.

I actually agree TODAY

He gets to play this weekend, and I think this team is set up nice for the rest of what should be maybe 3 more years of his career

Yeah you say that you're not trying to diminish Eli's career yet you said this (#24): "The Hall doesn't need another Joe Nammoth type qb mucking up the place. He's a longshot @ best." The only slow person right now is you.

But keep pretending that Eli & Namath's #'s are similar across the board.
QB's of his generation with a better passer rating:

  1. Aaron Rodgers
  2. Russell Wilson
  3. Tom Brady
  4. Tony Romo
  5. Peyton Manning
  6. Drew Brees
  7. Philip Rivers
  8. Ben Roethlisburger
  9. Kirk Cousins
  10. Matt Ryan
  11. Matt Schaub
  12. Andy Dalton
  13. Colin Kaepernick
  14. Carson Palmer
  15. Derek Carr
  16. Daunte Culpepper
  17. Jeff Garcia
  18. Andrew Luck
  19. Matt Stafford
  20. Ryan Tannehill
  21. Cam Newton
  22. Brett Favre
  23. Trent Green
  24. David Garrard
  25. Jay Cutler
  26. Donovan Mcnabb
  27. Alex Smith
  28. Sam Bradford
  29. Joe Flacco
  30. Mark Brunell

Problem is we can't go back and play 'what ifs" If Samuels doesn't let that pass go right through his hands, or the refs call Eli in the grasp and its a sack, or Harrison knocks the ball of Tyree's helmet 3 scenarios in last minute that would have given SB to Pats 3

All valid points, but the play that will always stick out to me far as that game goes. Is that monster bomb Brady launched to Moss. Which I guess can be looked at one of two ways. Had Brady been able to get it off a split second sooner. Or if Moss takes a pity-pat step, maybe two. Either scenario happens and best case for the Pats is Moss takes it in for the game winner. Or Moss gets PIed by, damn forgot dude's name, the Giant DB and the Pats are 1st and 10 at the Giants 20 or so yard line.

I didn't know Brady had that kinda arm, but he chucked that mothafucker for real.
