Hadn't heard this before. A little concerning if true...

I don't buy it. Ive heard too many people talk about what a great kid he is. I think the Patriots are embarrassed because so many people are ripping their ass for giving away a QB with that much potential just to keep Drake Maye from worrying about his backup

Hopefully stuff like this does not make Jerry trade another 4th rounder for another bust.

It's not done but leaning. Reminds me of when they took Dallas Goedert so we wouldn't get him, even though they had a good TE, and Goedert has murdered us ever since. Jokes on them though, we know better than to take a TE in the first round lol

well hopefully this is because someone told him he could be the starter & he believed them & fought for it. Instead of knowing his role.
No one he can think he is coming to Dallas to be the starter. (if any of this is true)

I think every player thinks they should be starting and especially QBs. But I never really heard anything negative about Milton before this. I guess we’ll find out now that we have him. Some guys just need a change of scenery. Supposedly Milton wanted to come to Dallas so that’s another good thing for us.

Personally I’m psyched to have the kid and one thing we need more than anything is our starters being pushed and not getting too comfortable and just walking around thinking the job is theirs no matter how they play even though with Dak we know there’s no chance Jerry would allow him to be sat down even in the 1% chance someone like Milton played better. Funny though, everyone talks about competition and changing the culture of this team, but as soon as it’s certain players they are against it

I think Milton is a perfect add. He just needs to spend two years soaking up all the knowledge he can and we might have a big time young starter. The kid can spin it as well as anyone in the game, Josh Allen and Mahomes included. And he can run as well as Allen. He is a crazy talent. I like the idea of developing that a Hell of a lot more than some noodle arm that could have the brain of Jason Garrett or Kellen Moore but have the arm talent upside of....Jason Garrett or Kellen Moore

I still can’t believe we got him for as cheap as we did. No idea if he’ll pan out or not but the risk reward says this was a coup for us in my book

Absolutely man. It's going to be a weird deal for Dak at practices. It's awfully rare when the backup has far for arm talent in practice than the starter. I think he may work out

it is one of the few trades in recent history where I was completely happy for it.

I think we have done pretty good with a few trades. Cooks and Gilmore. I really liked the Elam deal this year too. I liked picking up the Tenn LBer as a player, but can’t understand why we did it without making Tenn retain some of his salary by converting it to a bonus before the trade like Hou did with Cooks or something similar. that kind of made a good trade a not so good trade to me.

The thing with Dak is I really think he just absolutely wants what’s best for the team. A lot of guys are fake. Dak isn’t an elite QB like a lot of these guys, but I think he legit is real and not fake like some of these other guys who are really just out for themselves. So I’m not sure it will bother him and I bet he tries to help the kid out as much as he can. I always got the feeling he was genuinely happy for Rush when he did well compared to let’s say a guy like Rodgers who probably wants the team to crash and burn when he his out injured because it makes him look better

Dak is a leader. If Shotty wants high character guys. He has one right there.

I agree with that. He will take Milton under his wing. As he should. If he stays healthy, Milton will never play. But if he goes down again and Milton plays like he did in the game against Buffalo, the noise for Milton will be deafening

"He’s missed 21 games over the past two seasons and has long had a reputation for making big plays … but also surrendering them. Diggs has four years remaining on a $97 million extension with no guarantees beyond 2025. And with highly capable CB Shavon Revel Jr. arriving in the third round – a torn ACL last year cost him a much earlier draft call – and the Cowboys about to issue another mega contract to DE Micah Parsons … well, worth wondering how much longer they can afford Diggs and/or fellow CB DaRon Bland, who could be a free agent next year."

This is worth a watch. Diggs could be an attractive trade piece.
Revel and Josh Butler are rehabbing with the desire to play football.
