I would as well....but the finger has been pointed towards Smith & LeeIf I ran the team and was able to get LVE to sign a massive deal with a team protection I'd do it, but if he insists on a deal that handcuffs the team as he's on the sideline, I'd let him walk and take the comp pick.
Smith? But how many times was his contract redone kicking the can down the road?
I'll say this for Tyler Biadasz... so far, he seems to be doing OK. He hasn't been called out for anything egregious and when you focus on him it appears this thing isn't too big for him. Still early but maybe when Looney gets healthy he moves to RT?yep....think Martin might be moved to left tackle., could see Knight go to right guard and TE Bell play a shit load more lined up beside the right tackle.
Going to have to live will Williams at LG and prey the rookie center is all that and avoids injury
Smith cap hit the next 3 years: $14M, $15.3M, $15.4M. Well worth it if he were healthy and played 16 games but this will be the 5th year in a row he hasn't and over those 5 years he will have missed an average of a little over 5 games. If he plays 11 games at $15M, that's a $22M pace for 16.But how many times was his contract redone kicking the can down the road?
classic passive aggressive there judgeHere's a finger for you
Looney is a good guy. I just don't think he's a very good football player and I think tackle may a bit to much for him than the interiorI'll say this for Tyler Biadasz... so far, he seems to be doing OK. There it is right there!! Jerry continues to draft players with extensive injuries in college. IMO if you have cronic knee, shoulder, neck etc. In college, don't draft them in the first 4 rounds or not at all. Jaylen could have been gotten much later in the draft. Miles Jack was much less a risk then Smith.Easier said than done, but we might want to stop signing players with an existing record of contstant injuries.
As usual, what you say makes no sense curmudgeon.classic passive aggressive there judge
your years of butt hurt feeling is still worth the price of admission to this site
Taking Jaylon in the 2nd round was the oddest part. You see a guy that could excel and you think your doctor knows his medical history, go for it. But with what was basically a first round pick? Then lock him up early with that history? This team just tries to prove how smart they are and never fails to do the opposite. There it is right there!! Nope it has always made sense, which is why you remain butthurt all these years. As usual, what you say makes no sense curmudgeon.
Still - I'm OK with Biadasz continuing to start. I suppose I could be convinced to put Looney at RG and move Martin out one spot...Looney is a good guy. I just don't think he's a very good football player and I think tackle may a bit to much for him than the interior
IMO, your best 5 if all were healthy has Biadasz at center.Still - I'm OK with Biadasz continuing to start. I suppose I could be convinced to put Looney at RG and move Martin out one spot...
You literally just repeat things I say to you a year later as if it makes it true. This is like the 3rd or 4th time nowNope it has always made sense, which is why you remain butthurt all these years.
You just can't help yourself.
He is very smart and assignment sure. I have complete faith in him.I'll say this for Tyler Biadasz... so far, he seems to be doing OK. I'm OK with taking a flyer on a injured college player, because his rookie contract isn't going to be an anchor to the cap, even his new contract I'm ok with because he had shown the injury is in the past. Now has he lived up to that 2nd contract? No, but I don’t know how a team can determine the heart of a player after he gets rich. There it is right there!! Is it wrong that I'm hoping Tank and Jaylon are secretly playing injured and that once healthy they will get better again? Heck, throw Griffin and Poe in there too. Our only good defensive players so far this year have been Smith and Thomas. I thought Awuzie played pretty well before getting hurt.I'm OK with taking a flyer on a injured college player, because his rookie contract isn't going to be an anchor to the cap, even his new contract I'm ok with because he had shown the injury is in the past.
