Exactly. The defense carried us when Micah got back. We won 4 of 5 with Rush at QB. Lamb was playing badly hurt the last half of the year, he goes out and we get our doors blown off by Philly and lose to a Washington team that we had thumped a few weeks earlier. You build the offense a round Lamb and the defense around Micah, you don't trade them.
Just think, if we had a solid#2 that would open up even more for Lamb. And when he is out we would still have a stud WR. I am warming to Burden 111.

That was why I was good with Warren there. The "TE" thing turns a lot of people off, but can anyone really tell me that a great pass catching TE wouldn't open things up a ton? Fergy is solid, he ain't great by any stretch. Imagine a Kelce or Little or Goedert out there taking pressure off Dak and Lamb. I know when we play Philly, the guy that just murders us isn't Brown or Smith, its Goedert. Same with the Niners, it's never really Deebo that kills us, it's Kittle

I got Burden rated very high. He got the swagger and the talent. He would immediately knock Tolbert out of his spot. That would be beneficial . But what sucks is all the big holes all over the roster. Do you think it wiser to draft a Tackle?

At first I was skeptical about Burden.. But after watching his tape I just get the feeling he is going to be a force in the NFL. So Dangerous in the open field. Gets physical. And I like the swagger. Him and Ceedee would be trash talking the whole game
This guy would Help Cee Dee and Dak a lot. . But so many holes all over this roster

Hypothetically, if we were back to drafting the best player on our board like when we took Micah and Lamb, you might get equal value back. But we are drafting for need. So let's use your draft haul against our recent factual success...Two 1sts and a 2nd? Big haul. Last two years that nets the Cowboys Mazi Smith(1st), Luke Schoonmaker(2nd) and Tyler Guyton(1st) for Micah Parsons. I'll pass
Yes and we were supposed to have a draft guru but it was all luck. Parsons and Lamb fell in our lap. So did TJ Watt...but

I guess you stopped watching by the time Micah came back and the defense looked totally different. They are building block players that you can build a winning franchise around. It's not their fault there are very few other good players that were healthy this year. Trading them and starting over with draft picks that may or may not pan out may look good to you but not me. Superstars win Super Bowls. Let's say you get 3 first round picks for Micah. You think a team is better off with Micah or the 3 guys we draft in the first round (Tyler, Guyton and Mazi) since we picked him? Let's take it a step further and say you get 2 1st rounders for CeeDee also. So do we want Micah and CeeDee or our other last 5 first rounders (Taco, Vander Esch Tyler, Guyton and Mazi). If only it were as easy as it looks on paper...
Wait. Never said it looked good to me. I just asked a question. Let's start there.

I love both guys. Dont want them to move on.

But my question is about this draft which by everyone on here saying, is deep in the second round talent.

BTW, we can't draft Guyton, mazi or schoony again...

We talked upthread about how shitty we have drafted and this was much needed?

Ok...
Will doesn't call the shots dude. He puts the board together. Do you know how many times we took players that were not the top player on our board? Several

So his services are of no value?
You would rather just roll with Jerry and Stephen throwing Darts? They leave it to him once they lose interest. Its why we do so well end of drafts and UFA. 6 other teams have tried to hire him as a GM dude

It sounds like that what they do cause the shot caller don't take his advice.

BTW, have you seen the boards he's put together? How do we know he didn't tell JJ mazi is the next one up or Taco? I have never seen their draft board just speculation.

Ill go with the fact that if he were to leave the Cowboys, he would have his choice of multiple GM jobs about two minutes later.

The only good thing about is someone will be available to fill one. Unlike only needing a CB and their gone by 12.
