I think the Cowboys just dont value the 4th rd. picks.
If we arent trading it away. It is our draft a back up TE or experimental player.

Last 15 or more years only good 4ths were Ferguson (TE) Dak was supposed to be a back up QB & Pollard.

It never surprises me when I hear the Cowboys trade their 4th for a bag of airline peanuts!

Last 2 drafts are proof they can't count on adding enough talent to fill all the holes they have on this roster. Trading away what will be a very high 4th...man, Mingo better be a freaking stud

It'll likely be hard to judge this year. Kid leaves Bryce Young and Andy Dalton and instead of Dak he gets Cooper Rush and Trey Lance lol

Cowboys now have the #9 pick according to Tankathon. The funny thing is I don't think the team has quit on McCarthy yet. I see decent effort. They just are not good enough.

I don't know what the Hell that gameplan was last week. Its like we had no routes past 5 yards. Rush doesn't have a gun but he has decent timing. If Mac's scared to let him throw it down field he should put in Lance and run it. Rush is better than that

I’m not so sure about that. I agree there is decent effort but this team has no respect for their HC and knows he is gone at year end. I’m not so sure there was even respect for him after last year

Not only do I agree that some (highly paid) members of the team have quit...I think Coach Mac has quit. I at least saw Coach Zimmer blitzing the Hell out of the Eagles, he was trying some different stuff, but the offensive game plan and play calling against the Eagles was nothing less than embarrassing

Fixed because I do believe there are people within the organization (like Will McClay) that actually value 4th rd picks but are overruled by the GM.

I think most teams would just fire McCarthy now (well most teams would have fired him before the season) instead of waiting for year-end. I do not think Jerry will do that based on his recent comments. We all know once Jerry says something he clings to it like a life raft because he views admitting mistakes or misspeaks as a condemnation on his decision making and thus his football cred. But, if we do fire McCarthy right now, who would you name as interim HC? Zimmer? Al Harris? Someone else?

I'm not sure which direction I would go, but I do think Jerry would pick Zimmer. IMO it's the whole reason Zimmer is even here. I don't think McCarthy wanted him, I think Jerry wanted him and this was part of the reason.

Another one...The Saints scored more touchdowns in one game at Jerryworld than the Cowboys have scored in 5 home games this season. And Dak was the QB for 3 of those. Let that sink in.
The worst part is, it can't get fixed. Jerry has regressed, he is like Biden, a deteriorating version of something that was incompetent in the first place. His Son cares more about lining his pockets than winning football games. Whether you think signing Dak and Lamb and soon Micah was the right call or trading them and blowing it up was the right call doesn't really matter. Either way could have led to playoff success, with a good Owner and GM. It won't work either way with Bozo and Bozo Jr running things
