Not sure what it really was with me and the Eagles. Most true Cowboy fans from the 70’s would say they hate the Skins more than anybody. I mean sure i hated Theismann , Riggo, the fun bunch. I never hated Darrell Green for some reason. It was always the damn Eagles though to me that stood in our way. Jaws , Carmichael, Wilbert Montgomery and that damn Vet Stadium made me cringe. Heck even Aikmans first Superbowl , the Eagles beat the hell out of us about the 4rth game of the season. They had legit All Pros all over their defense back then - Reggie White, Clyde Simmons , Jerome Brown , Seth Joyner, Eric Allen , Wes Hopkins. I just hated them . Then the Romo years- sure RG3 had his year with the Skins and the Giants were up and down. Those damn Eagles and McNabb though always seemed good. Then the Dak years. Dak has owned Wash and NY.

They all think they are our biggest rival just because they are over the top obsessed with us and because we are their biggest rival, but like I always say our biggest rival is whomever is currently standing in our way at that frozen point in time. They hate hearing they are just one of three to us, but it's the truth. We don't have the obsession with them that they have with us. Doesn't matter to me who won. We are out of it so I can't even root for which would be better for us. I like Quinn and hate Sirianni and the Hoop Eagles fans are the worst (kind of like Eagles fans in general) so for those reasons I'd rather see Washington if I had to choose, but the second they win anything they'll be back to what they were also, so honestly really a toss up. Can I root for the Giants?

it started in 1966 when Lombardi said an organization in their 7th year of their existence was the second best team in football in his opinion...said the same in 68. It started right then. Fucked with the Washington and Philly organizations the most followed closely with NYG, Baltimore, Cleveland, and the Rams. The niner fan base joined the band in the 72 playoffs when Staubach hit Ron Sellers and broke the Bays heart. I still see Larry Cole roll all over the sideline ground.

20 consecutive winning seasons and then Jimmy brought the entire league in the mix.

America's Team has ALWAYS been about the haters more so than cowboy fans.

As to the other 3 teams in the NFC, the only one I ever truly hated was the Eagles. Once they cheered when Michael Irvin was laying on their concrete shithole they called a turf field with what could have been paralysis, in my book, they can all fuck themselves for life

I saw Jerry compared Jason Witten to Dan Campbell. I guess we know who our next HC will be lol. I really do like Jason but that would be an absolute disaster. Make Witten the HC and Jerry will literally sit beside him breaking down film reviews he saw on YouTube

I have heard that Jerry was dead set on not signing Dak till after the season and Stephen won out. I bet Jerry is kicking himself a little right now. The way the season is going he would likely be in position to draft a QB high and save $60M per.

I doubt they draft a QB now. At least not in 2025. I am warming up a little to selecting Jeanty in round one . He is a hell of a back. Over 7 yards per carry and he seems to light up every defense he faces. His highlight tapes are awesome .

McMillan and Carter are the other two I think they would draft. McMillan is the type of receiver they need. We all know Jerry likes his receivers and Carter would be the type of "war Daddy" he covets. Carter is going to be a force. Can you imagine Carter and Micah on the field together? Time to tank

Only Cowboys player I would like to see become a coach in some compacity. Is Sean Lee.
I think that guy would be an excellent LB coach. Other than him. I dont really want to see an ex-cowboy coaching our players.

I got mixed feeling on Witten. I have no idea how he would do. It makes sense though. Jerry seems to lean on former Cowboys players as coaches. Witten likely would bring in Sean Lee as an assistant. I honestly would prefer a guy like Witten over an old retread.

That YouTube guy was talking about those 3 yesterday. How who you take depends on where you are in the order.
He also said running backs are a dime a dozen in this next draft.
To me our piss poor defence needs a mauler more than our offence needs a stud running back, especially if you can find a capable one in 2nd round.

If we can actually find a Mauler I am all for it. We seem to be sucking at evaluating DTs

but a stud RB definitely helps our Defense.
When we drafted Zeke, our defense went from shitty to very presentable with no changes to the defense really. Controlling the clock & keeping the defense off the field will do wonders for it.

My point was the next draft supposedly is loaded with RBs. Only going by that Tom YouTube guy as I don’t watch college sports.

They won't because it would require Jerry to admit his mistake. Even if Jerry steps aside and hires a competent person to run the team (he won't) and luck breaks our way on all fronts the chances of turning this team around in a year or so are slim. But, there are veterans we can dump (think safety position plus others) and there will be a lot of cap space to work with. The Dak contract albatross is going to be a big one and an uphill battle for even the best GM to work with for Jerry it's an insurmountable obstacle. Jerry has had a lot of bad off-season's but this one was just an utter disaster and is going to leave a mark.

They are just sooo jealous of the Cowboy's franchise. They hate that the media always talks about us no matter what our record is and little about them. They should be called the "What about me's". They are the bad child that always wants a hug.

Carter, Micah...and Overshown. With a healthy Diggs and Bland. Then take an RB in round 2 and nothing but OL/DL the rest of the draft. Then add a couple of quality(not trash can) FA DT's and you're back to competing for the playoffs

I think the Cowboys just dont value the 4th rd. picks.
If we arent trading it away. It is our draft a back up TE or experimental player.

Last 15 or more years only good 4ths were Ferguson (TE) Dak was supposed to be a back up QB & Pollard.

It never surprises me when I hear the Cowboys trade their 4th for a bag of airline peanuts!
