I’m not so sure it did hurt you more than it hurt the fans. I’m still not completely over Jackie Smith dropping that pass or “the catch” or the slick ball fumble and I know @Hank Kingsley isnt over the Dez “non-catch”

Dak Prescott when asked what he says to Cowboys fans who are still frustrated about how last season ended: “Be fans or don’t be fans. If you’re a fan, you’re going to turn the page just as we do, you’re gonna move forward, understanding that you have better ahead of you. … Sorry, obviously, but it hurt us more than it did them. Obviously it’s on us to get back and to do better, but, yeah, move on.”

Jackie Smith, the catch,Dez getting screwed were the terrible plays I remember the most.

Why do I get the strong sense we’re gonna relive these words in a few months…

You know the crazy thing about those losses you mentioned and bad plays that happened, we still had a chance to win those games after those plays. I can still see Drew Pearson scampering through the middle of the field and maybe Eric Wright barely tripping him up. Even the fumbled snap - we had Seattle pinned at the one yard line and Shawn Alexander busted one for anout 60 yards. So yes I imagine the losses stick with us fans more. I doubt half the team remembers the Alexander run or Eric Wright trip up.

Hell i can still see the name - Babineaux catching Romo from behind on the botched snap. Had to know something bad was going to happen when they took away the first down from Witten.

Good points. Demarcos fumble against the Packers was one that comes to mind. Patrick Craytons drop against the Giants is another one that could have changed the outcome. Each time on the cusp of a NFC Title game. Very disappointing

would you be pissed at 52M per average?
I think where this team is, with Micah and Lamb needing to get paid, $52M for Dak is a move that keeps us relevant but never gets us to a Super Bowl. I'll say this though, it would prove that Dak cared about making money while still working with the team if he took a fairer number like $52M so I would be good with that. I just don't think that's gonna happen. I think it'll take $56-57M if we get him signed before the season starts and $58-60M once it does. And if that's the case I would just as soon say goodbye

so..if Dak signed another contract at an average of 47M per, you'd be fine with Dak in Dallas going forward?

I'm fine with whatever happens with this franchise because there isn't shit I can do about it and I'm still gonna pull for them anyway.
I think they shouldn't have given Dak a 4 year deal last time that contained no franchise tag at the end and a no trade clause. Utterly ridiculous, but it happened because the Cowboys didn't know themselves if they wanted to keep him and had no backup plan in place and got bent over. Now four years later we are in the same shit situation. They STILL don't know if they are committed to the guy or not, still waiting till the last minute to sign him, still gonna have zero leverage, zero backup plan and they will get bent over again. I would have TRADED him 5 years ago as I posted on here multiple times. I would trade him now if I could, but he has a no trade clause lol. So yeah, if it were up to me, I would let him play out and walk. But I also would have drafted a QB or two the last few years as well. Would I be happy with $52M? It's better than the $55-60M it will end up being
