Was just looking at our cap. $17M in space for next year but that is before signing Dak. I assume we restructure some guys but hopefully not Cooper so we can still move on from him after next year. If we trade Cooper after 6/1 we save $20M against the 2021 Cap and have $6M dead money in 2022 (If pre-6/1 we save $14M and then off books). I wonder if we could get a decent pick for him and then use that saved money on a defensive stud. Jax has a shit ton of cap space and needs a WR. Their 3rd is almost like a late 2nd.

Obviously this article is complete BS when it states that "Trysten Hill showed up nicely in his second season before being lost for the year due to injury" but ignoring that, this shows McCoy was still in touch with at least some Cowboy players and why I still think he signs with us this offseason (and won't cost much). What he has left after the injury and another trip around the sun I don't know.

That cap space is still based off of what the 2021 space would be before the virus. Looking at reports the 2021 cap space might be around 180M, which means Dallas is already OVER the cap.

IMO for at least this season the NFL should take a financial hit and pour more team money into the cap.

Keep in mind, I'm not a players deserve more money person.

He wont cost much to bring in.. he could take Crawfords role and be much cheaper.

Sorry I saw Dallas top 51 at 183M and 17M cap space, and reports that the 22 NFL CAP will be around 180M. I didn't account for the rollover cap space.

It is hard to get excited about the off season with Jerry as the GM. I was so excited with the draft and free agency last year. Not going to do that again.

I'm starting to get the same feeling with regards to Jerry & his son

25 years and only Dallas, Washington & Detroit have not made an NFC championship game while all other NFC teams have made the championship game at least twice in this time span.

Really Sad we are on that list and Cleveland has a better chance at a championship game than Dallas right now . SMH

So we were devastated by injuries and that gets our training staff named the top group...OK...I guess

Just read this. Interesting. But the Cowboys always seem to feel just resigning their own is the way to go after a crappy year:

all 31 points that the Buccaneers scored in Super Bowl LV were scored by players who were not on the team last season. It pays to continually add talent to your roster.

It always amazes me how this team overvalues it's own talent and that has been our biggest tragic flaw since the 90's. Why are we so comfortable to just continue with the status quo plus some bargain shopping when it just doesn't work. You don't get better by resigning talent from mediocre teams. You get better by signing better players and of course drafting better players.

For 25+ years your GM calls the shots.

cooper is the most logical restructure so eliminating him handcuffs us
