The Cowboys will work out free agent QBs Christian Ponder, Matt Flynn, and Josh Johnson.

Per ESPN's Ed Werder, retired QB Kyle Orton isn't a realistic option due to his poor relationship with Tony Romo. Ponder spent the summer in Oakland, but was cut when the Raiders kept only Matt McGloin behind Derek Carr. The Cowboys also checked in on Jason Campbell, but he's content in retirement.

Where's old Bruce gradkowski these days ? Ha. I wouldn't mind any of the 3. I'm pulling hard for Weeden. I think he has something to offer. I hate it that he is not going to have Dez though to help him out. The only thing I worry about Weeden is him forcing passes. Punts aren't bad. Beasley has to better on PRs too. I don't necessarily mean return yards. He has to catch the damn ball in the air. Philly flipped the field 3 times yesterday when I thought we were gonna get it around the 40.
