I get what you're saying and I don't disagree but if you've got him graded high enough I'd still do it. That's the one poslsition you cannot hide via scheme. That said I doubt they'd have him graded high enough to justify it.
There you go right there...very doubtful...if he was, he would be just as high on boards picking much earlier. They (people that follow this stuff on a regular basis) say this is supposed to be a fairly deep draft for edge rushers, and I've already noted 3 to 4 ILBs that should start somewhere in the NFL next year.
Don't get me wrong...I like him as a prospect, but not a player that will be ready to help a team in yr one or two....i.e. imo he's a couple of notches below Winston and Mariota. I'm of the mindset that read option QBs are 3 to 4 yr learning curve players in the NFL...he may exceed that, but I wouldn't bet on it.
