So who drafts Watson

I get what you're saying and I don't disagree but if you've got him graded high enough I'd still do it. That's the one poslsition you cannot hide via scheme. That said I doubt they'd have him graded high enough to justify it.

They (people that follow this stuff on a regular basis) say this is supposed to be a fairly deep draft for edge rushers, and I've already noted 3 to 4 ILBs that should start somewhere in the NFL next year.

Don't get me wrong...I like him as a prospect, but not a player that will be ready to help a team in yr one or two....i.e. imo he's a couple of notches below Winston and Mariota. I'm of the mindset that read option QBs are 3 to 4 yr learning curve players in the NFL...he may exceed that, but I wouldn't bet on it.

My guess is Cleveland with the #12 overall pick they get from the Eagles.

If you identify the guy is a franchise QB you take him at #1. If you identify that he isn't then you don't take him at #12.

The OFC is a read option base from I can tell.

My point is the transition from a read option based OFC to a pro style OFC takes longer...especially if you were really good at the read option. A lot of it mental imo...you're so used to making plays in CFB...Russell Wilson quickly understood the role of a QB in the NFL is distributor 1st and foremost, if you make a few plays running...that's gravy.

I'm just not sold on Watson on reading a defense and throws way to many screens for my liking to pad his stats. He may not have a Mike Williams catching jump balls for him as well. Plus not playing under center may be a problem but I guess that's a lot of college QB's. Let's see if he can run an offense that isn't hurry up and one read then run. I'm not sold on Dak yet either. So I guess I didn't answer the question. Peace.

I'm pretty much in the same camp on Watson, but I would take him in the 2nd rd. IMO it will take him 3 yrs at least to be an effective starter.

That said, if you're not sold on Dak yet, you won't be anytime soon.

Everyone knows about the OL and the great running game, that makes any QB better. He's not a great drop back passer, make 3 or 4 progression reads and delivers strikes...but the kid has poise, doesn't appear to get rattled easy, solid arm, mobile, but not a runner...and he's a leader...those vets really believe in that kid....when Witten jumped on board (very close to Romo), that told me enough.

May never be a 4000 yd passer, but he's a starter in this league.

Probably the dumbass Browns. Watson is Vince Young/Tim Tebow all over again. He played in a spread/gimmicky offense and doesn't have a great arm which ALL good QBs have except those carried by INSANE running/offensive lines, which are STILL not that great (like Matt Hasselbeck and Donovan McNabb).

Browns will go full retard and draft Watson because they fall in love with him for whatever reason. Garrett will somehow fall to the Bears who will get the best top 5 pick in this draft, and Jed York and his stupid 49ers will draft Kizer because it's Notre Dame QB who they can write articles about and sells tickets.

Why not? Combination of half the league needing a QB and a thin draft at the position. Did you see him play? I know it's a brief sample, but he played well against Arizona and absolutely lit up the Dolphins until he got hurt.

The Pats may only get something like a 2nd and 4th but can you blame them to expect a Bradford type return?

People say, every year, to ignore the combine, and every single one of those people have zero clue what they're talking about. People who know what they're doing pay attention to all of the information they can, including the combine.

Two years ago, Watson looked very good. Go's were thrown at places where only the receiver can catch it, two years ago. Statistically, Watson has many INT's on his record. For me to give you a fair assessment about Watson, I need to watch more snaps, on You Tube, to give you fair criticism about this QB.

If I'm the Browns, I'm taking that Edge rusher, from Texas A&M. With that other first-round pick: I would select a defensive lineman, or, possibly, Peppers, from Michigan. Make Peppers play the Strong, if you select him.

Kessler has shown some good lines. It will be interesting to see how good Kessler plays, with a year's worth of mistakes, behind him. Also, if I'm Hugh Jackson, I'm putting pressure on my offensive line coach. Failure of those boys to protect my QB, will mean that my offensive line coaches boss won't subvent him, anymore.

If you want, Cleveland, you could have Griffin and Kessler compete for the QB job. Cleveland isn't going to be a team of whom will represent the AFC in the 2018 Super Bowl, anyway.

You have Collins and those two very good corners. There are other positions to fill, on defense.

If Cleveland feels that they must draft a QB, in the first-round, they could draft a QB with that second first-round pick. I believe that Cleveland must focus on making that defense robust, than to select one of those QB's, of whom are entering the 2017 draft.

Strengthen the offensive line. Possibly draft a Guard, Center or a RT in the second- or third-round. Again, devote much of your draft to defense.

I have a hard time believing in Trubisky. One year of production is pretty limited when using a 1st round pick on a QB.

Interesting fact: highest drafted Tarheel QB: TJ Yates in the 5th round. Fedora's star QB at Southern Miss was Austin Davis.

That kid is tough. Alabama was knocking him around like crazy in the championship game and he didn't get rattled. I think he could use a year with a clipboard and work on his accuracy but he will get a shot in the league and likely be taken in the first round.

Agree on the toughness. However - he better change his approach in the NFL. If he plays with that style he won't last long.

I don't think New Orleans is sold on Grayson. Then there is Brees who is about to turn 38 in a few days is only signed through the end of 2017. If the guy they like is available I don't think it would be a bad idea to draft him before Brees is done.
