I think it's a stretch to say it's all the system with how well Hurts is playing. This isn't a Jimmy G situation where the offense plays below its capabilities despite oodles of talent and a well regarded scheme. Were it not for his injury, and the existence of Mahomes, he'd probably win MVP.

BUT...Can Philly roll with the same offense should Hurts not be able to play. This game begins to look at that.

Hurts has been great this year. Really proved me wrong, but I think Parsons was kind of right on and I also think Philly should still be favored with Minshew. I don't think the Eagles are all that much better with Hurts than Minshew. More passing, less running. The big difference will be not having that automatic 3rd or 4th and 1 QB sneak play that almost made it 9 yards for a first down for Philly because it was so successful. But if the Eagles do lose it doesn't prove anything with regards to Hurts because they might have lost any way. Cowboys have a much worse injury situation than the Eagles don't they? The Eagles are having a great year but it's not like they are some unbeatable team. Better than Dallas? Of course, but they really aren't all that good as compared to good teams in other seasons. Hurts or no Hurts they are the favorite in the NFC but also Hurts or no Hurts they are good but not great.

The Eagles have always invested in back up QBs during Jeff Lurie’s tenure. During two playoff pushes Donovan McNabb’s Eagles were helped by AJ Feely and then later Jeff Garcia. The only Super Bowl in franchise history came with a back up. I think they will likely draft a developmental QB this year (I like the kid from UCLA) and then sign a vet to hold down the 2 spot with about 5-8 million type of contract.

Minshew lost to a team that is around the top 5 in the NFL & the team scored 34 points. The defense gave up 40. Pretty sure Minshew is a decent back up.

He is. But it should be noted that the Cowboys secondary was really banged up. Parsons and Diggs played despite being sick and missing reps all week and Vander Esche was out.

No ones should be expecting their Back up to be as good as half the starters in the league. That is just unrealistic or you are about to switch starters. (QB controversy)
As far as back ups goes. I wouldnt complain to have a quality of Minshew.
