I'll give you the 2nd pick in this year's draft for Kirk.

Skins take that 24m, buy a defense, draft Fournette @2 and Watson @17. Would you be pissed, happy or intrigued?

I would be wondering who our next head coach is. Watson just doesnt fit what I think Jay wants in a QB.

I agree Watson is not a good fit for our offense.

I imagine you could buy a pretty stout defense, bring Jackson back and maybe even go get Leary with that money. I'd say no, but if the skins did it, I would be a little, just a little intrigued.

Yeah, good point.
Is Colt really an option if Kirk is let go though. Do you play Colt for a year until Scot decides on Jay's future and grooms Watson.

See this is the thing. Scott inherited Jay and Kirk. I don't believe that Scot likes this brand of football. For some reason I think if Scot thought he could get away with it, he would take this team in a whole new direction scheme wise. More smash mouth, bootleg, type of offense.

Colt's never played a complete 16 game season in his 7 year career. The closet he got was his 2nd year and playing/starting 13 games. Since that time, 2011, the only other time he started was dfor the Skins in 2014 and that only last 4 games after subbing in for Cuz in the Tenn game.

Colt isn't the answer as a back up really, not if he had to play more than half a season imo, nevermind being a statrter for a full season.

Well what is Scot's vision for this team? What is he waiting for Kirk to show him?

No on Colt being an option. He wouldn't last a season imo before he's layed up due to injury.

So you would be pissed if we franchised and traded Kirk to SF for #2 overall this year and something next year Breed?

Who knows? Maybe its like Stymietee opined. Scotty Mac is playing a balancing act between Snyder/Allen and Gruden/used to be McVay. Though I can't see Scotty Mac putting up with that nonsense from Snyder. Who knows though.

The only way I think I'd be OK with that proposed scenario would be if that pick in 2018 netted us Sam Darnold from USC. But there's no way of ensuring that would happen. Unless the 2018 pick was the #1 pk in the draft.

I'd would be pissed, but hopefull. I would wonder why Scot would let Kirk go and start over on the side of the ball that was ranked 2nd or 3rd, but I would also wonder who.is this mystery QB that Scot has up his sleeve and feels.he can win with minus the 24m price tag?

I agree with you that if he could. Scotty Mac would 86 the Skins current offensive scheme/mindset. Opting for a more ball control/physical type offense.

That's what worries me. Make no mistake. This is the off-season we find out if Kirk stays. They won't franchise him a third time, and if they do Kirk will just leave after that. If they don't lock him up this off-season, it's over.

Thats a hard no from me if we take Fournette at 2. A RB @2 will always be a no from me. Id be praying we could either trade down for a huge haul or that somehow the browns would screw up and let us grab Garrett.
