....... already. Why the hell did the Wings have to be down here so soon?

Plus the BJ's were offering a super 2-1 ticket price + concession goodies, and I get a better price than list.

I hate what they just did for the third time.....but I really love hockey, & unless I drive up, I only get to see my boys 2-3 times a year. What's a guy to do? :suds:

All the people going to practices and scrimmages in record numbers, and buying up Season tickeets really fast, only reinforces the idea that the League will pull this shit again in the future, because they can.

People will always come back.

Yes sir it WILL happen again. Trust me, I nailed this one when I called it a few years ago it will just be a matter of how fast the cap increases and how fast and many loop holes the teams and agents find in the CBA. The TV contract comes into play as well. If they closed it up good and control themselves (I doubt this) things will be OK. We will see.

I have said that I wasn't going to be interested but I can't seem to stop thinking about it.

I live too far away to go to Sabres games on a regular basis but I get all the games on tv. That won't stop me from spending fifty bingers on gamecenter live.

Nope. Those Dicks removed them all.

Already done.

I haven't re-bought my season tickets yet, and may only do a few games, but it is clear that the league is going all out to make sure opening night is packed to the rafters. First of all putting Detroit in town for Cbus is clearly aimed at getting people in the door. Only thing that would draw more is Pittsburgh.

Second, all the deals. 2 for one and (some) free concessions? That's a good deal. Enjoy the game.

I will be curious to see what happens to attendance later on. The league will go nuts promoting the success and how the fans are so great, but I am kind of expecting a sharp drop off in late Feb.

Wont be getting center ice
With the tighter schedule and having a Kings fan and a Ducks fan in the house , there will be few days without one of those games on. Add in all the NHL an VS games and I see no need to pay to watch other games. If I must see something i will bootleg it online.

I'm the same way. Between NHL Network, the NBC and NBCSN games combined with being able to watch the Devils, Rangers and Islanders, I get to see plenty of hockey. I know the Atlantic Division, and to a lesser extent the Eastern Conference, like the back of my hand.

Part of my logic was that since there was a condensed schedule I would get more enjoyment out of the Center Ice. Almost every night there will be a game I want to watch. Plus without it I may only see a couple Habs games. If I knew I could see a decent amount I may not have gotten it.

Does Center Ice also have the choice of home and away broadcasts like GCl does?

The bottom line is that as long as Bettman is commissioner, he's going to continue to go the lockout route (I mean, he's a perfect 3-for-3). Thus, why not take advantage of discounts of Center (Centre) Ice and tickets, promotions etc. when they are presented?

Just my :2cents:

Edit: Just blame us Canadians if it makes you feel better, no matter what the NHL does, we're going to continue to go to games like cattle (thanks Jimmy Devellano) being led to the slaughterhouse.

Usually, but not always. Canadian teams you typically have to watch the US broadcast when they are playing a US team.

Which is where I developed my sharp hatred of the Geriatric bastard in Buffalo.

Favorite team? Do you mean there is someone else besides the Wings? :peace:

No Ticketmaster fees for the rest of the year either. I had a source to avoid them and get a discount....but I always gotta grumble and beg from soemone I shouldn't really have to do that with. So I wound up getting two pairs. He got the discount, I bought the other two and will say buh-bye to Fuckmemaster for the rest of the season.
