Tough to tell condition in those beat up sleeves, but graded PSA 10s are in the $4,000 range. 9 - around $1,000. 8 - $350ish.

It costs a little money and a lot of time to get them graded, but could pay off if they're really in immaculate condition.
I sent the Kobe off with the Brady so we will see what that comes back as. They were pulled out of the same box 20 years ago. if its good, I’ll send the Jordan’s in. Fingers crossed

Did you just pay the base rate? Turnaround times are ridiculous right now. Probably close to a year.

I have a couple high end cards to send in soon and I'll likely pay $75 each to grade them to hopefully get them back within 3 months.

My brother in law set it up, PSA and $50 per card. 14$ return shipping. No clue on turnaround time but he said they were super backed up too

I just found these in a drawer a few weeks ago. I didn’t even really recall that I had them. I couldn’t have spent more than $50-60 total for the pair. Here’s what they are going for now:

I'm sitting on some Tony Eason rookie cards. If they don't pan out, my retirement is screwed.

That is awesome. I am going to do this with a bunch of my cards, as well(although I have been saying that for years). I have some great stuff that I’m dying to get graded. This Larry Bird rookie, for example. It’s NOT the one with Magic, obviously, but it’s in great shape:

And this Barry Sanders rookie would probably grade pretty well??

Holy shit cards and memorbilia have shot thru the roof......

Nice cards Chappee.......verrrrry nice.

I will admit,I was skeptical of your posts at fiirst, but glad to see you verified of what you got........

I started collecting back in 75 and have cards from back in the 60s to mid 90s before I finally gave it up.....

I gave all my cards to my son,who I hope still has them.....

I kept my Walter Payton cards and are put away someplace in the house where it wouldd be a pain to dig them out right now,but I have this at my fingertips:

What service did you go with with PSA?

*Turnaraound times will be affected.

I'd be surprised if the $50 tier returned in under 6 months. PSA says 3 months just to get the package from received to the process beginning.

Damn! You can’t do much better than Payton and Sanders autographs on that one. That is amazing. I remember when Starting Lineup figurines were red hot back in the day. You might just have the most valuable one of them all. Wow.

I wish I had the rest of my cards. I moved to CA from MA in my 20’s and only took a small portion of them with me. I *hope* the rest are safe in a box somewhere in an attic back home. But I have no idea if that’s the case.

As for the Brady cards, I’m glad those made the trip with me. They were probably only worth about $50 when I moved and I never gave them much thought until recently.

Apparently everyone digging through their old cards during quarantine and looking to get them graded. Makes a lot of sense.

In fact, the company that owns PSA is called Collector’s Universe. They trade under symbol “CLCT”. The stock was around $15 when the lockdowns hit and it’s almost $92 today. Almost a 500% gain since the lockdowns began. Who knew?

They recently sold to a huge collector and the owner of the Mets. Hoping they can get things done faster.

cards values definitely on fire during Covid, can't believe my eyes in some cases. Check out Kobes values...His very basic Topps RC was selling around 10-15 bucks, he had the tragic accident, Covid hit, those card are selling ungraded $300-500 w/PSA high graded versions double that. Its been insane. I've been cataloging all my stuff for my daughter and I'm up to almost 600 cards and I'm not counting commons. The value based on recent sales is up there.

You have to realize this could be a bubble. These values may not stay this high so holding on to cards for the future, you may miss the boat.

No way a 1986 Fleer Jordan PSA 7(which was $1500 2 weeks ago) will sustain its $15k value today.

oh no doubt, but I collect for fun and if there is some value one day for my then adult daughter, shes already 18, then great, if not oh well. For me it was better than pissing $$ away drinking or gambling :D
