Spent some time in Morristown, same reason, we’d go check out my friends band, long time ago, they covered a lot of Jersey. Best shows had to be Jenkinsons in the summer

I used to hang with guys from BOC, knew Monty the lead singer.....great dudes, liked to party

Was down in LBI last summer at a buddy’s and the Benjamin’s were playing Joe Pops, so we stopped in. Guys now all in their late 40’s performing with no shirts like 20 years ago

pretty funny actually

Lol. No chance I’m selling. Those are the best cards I have!

Take pics of them and post them up. You have to realize though that those cards above are graded psa 9 so your card has to be almost flawless to get those grades. Centered, sharp corners, and awesome surface. Still good value in the psa 8s and 7s, but the prices differences are alot.

I posted pics of them earlier in the thread. I guess I didn’t specify well enough that both cards are graded PSA 9. I was comparing apples-to-apples here.

Ebay sold doesnt mean it actually sold. A seller will win a bid when he doesnt want to sell for lower than what he listed. Then he will just offer up the same item in a new auction.

Maybe there is a demand for it. But I HIGHLY doubt it. Simple fact is that there are too many of those cards that were made....and limited demand to drive prices that high. But maybe things have changed in the football card market. I'm skeptical.

Wrong. Cards are blowing up. Junk wax era and hot rookies cards like Brady. So yes they are selling at these prices and then some.

So your 2 cards are already graded PSA 9s? Nice.

Yessir! I had no idea what I was really getting back in the day. Probably spent $50-60 for the pair. Just lucked out with that one.

Lots of “experts” decided to chime in for this topic without having any idea what they were talking about. I’m sure you NEVER see that around here. Lol.

Im bright enough to know that if you buy a psa 9 card and keep it forgotted in a drawer for over a decade it isnt a psa 9 anymore. Im not even an avid collector but i know you have to take precautions to keep paper in that state of mint. This whole thread just reeks of bullshit.

Wrong again! Once in the case, it's always considered a psa 9. So if a card was graded a gem mint 10 back when PSA first started the late 90s, it's still considered a gem mint 10 today.

Is that your shadowless? Why didn't PSA label it shadowless?
It would be redundant. All 1st Edition base cards are shadowless. The shadowless term actually refers to the print run between 1st Edition and unlimited.

They are.

Quality control was merely a suggestion back then too, so there are tons of unofficial quirky variants due to ink bleeding during printing or low ink levels. Grey stamps, ghost stamps, egregious miscut cards, etc.

I find it really interesting.

Tough to tell condition in those beat up sleeves, but graded PSA 10s are in the $4,000 range. 9 - around $1,000. 8 - $350ish.

It costs a little money and a lot of time to get them graded, but could pay off if they're really in immaculate condition.
