What the hell?

I mean if I can have a choice I'll take Hardy (when he was playing) any day over Bennett for the same price, but Hardy is a big unknown. He needs to be re-instated, how much would he ask for, would he get in trouble again, and is he going to miss games this season because of that fiasco...

Sheer madness. It's got to be BS or something that somebody overheard him say while he was drunk at a bar or something. If it's legit then he's just delusional. And Hardy is way too crazy to consider. He's Jeramy Stevens level bad news.

Rumor is we're bringing in Canty (Balt) and Spencer (Dallas) to look at so who knows... this could be true.

Bennett would have to net us a 2nd rounder or something... he's too good of a pass rusher and on too cheap of a contract to give away for a 3rd or worse.

Screw that. He has to show up and play. If it were the last year of the deal then maybe. He signed it last year. Stop being a baby.

WTF ... Is he unhappy with Graham coming here or something ? Why the hell would he want out ? If he does leave though or is traded we better get something for him..

Oh I know, just saying. According to nfl future forums, our FO has denied any of this has been brought up by Bennett or his agent. Canty/Spencer coming in IMO is solely because our line (even with Bennett) needs some depth, so that holds little weight. Just commenting for the sake of it.

I guess we can add this to the list of things that came out of nowhere. What I don't get is, if he's that eager to rejoin Quinn, which is the assumed reason he wants to go to Atlanta, why did he wait until now to request a trade? My only thought on that is that he really doesn't like Jimmy Graham, because that's really the only thing that has changed between the end of the season and now. Hopefully this is just one of those media-created stories that seemed to follow the team around all season.

We would. He's a 2nd rounder for sure.... (Atlanta is drafting higher - zero chance you get their 1st) or possibly a swap of our 2nds and Atlanta's 2016 2nd or something.

The rumor is he apparently wants to be re-united with Quinn (DC) and he did call out Jimmy Graham as soft so maybe he's not happy about that. Either way Seahawks org. called it all BS.

Let's relax and see if MB makes a comment about wanting to be traded.

Bennett according to PFF was also one of the best DEs last year. Yes he only had 7 sacks, but outside of Watt/Houston he was #3 in the league (among DEs) for sacks/hurries/hits combined.

He may be looking for more money considering Suh just got $20M+ per year. Bennett may want a 4 year $40-50M deal and Seattle just can't pay it. Atlanta has a bit more cap room to my knowledge and doesn't have as much invested in the defense.

Yes it's stupid because Bennett JUST signed that contract, but yah.

Seattle would still get hit with $6M Dead cap while only freeing up $2M so yah... Atlanta would have to be a) interested and b) willing to give up QUITE a bit in picks considering it negatively impacts Seattle on quite a few fronts to let him go.

I think this all a bunch of nothing. But if he did want to maximize his value with a trade, it's his right to request it. Nobody would call the Seahawks babies if He underperformed last year and they released him.

Yea agree. Let the twitter/ rumor world run its course and we will see what happens.

If it is true then still he has no leverage. Seahawks don't have to move him or re work his contract. He can show up and play or retire. That's really about it

He passed up playing with his brother in Chicago to go after another trophy and now we are to believe he's suddenly wanting to go to be with Quinn in Atlanta?

Not buying it until a legit source has something on it. Both teams are denying and it defies logic.
