The "opinionated" line seems like the studio, unhappy about how Rachel Zegler has been handling PR for the movie, taking a shot at her for what she says in her interviews and on social media, so the line's actually funny. (Of course, it is still the studio's fault for the bad PR by casting her for this role in the first place.)

If they made the trailer to send a message to the actress or amuse those who closely follow the industry, that's a pretty small audience. And maybe they did.

It could be a version of 80/20, though. There is a large population that is aware of the smoke around this movie. If you acknowledge that smoke and commit 2 seconds of the trailer to maybe swaying a portion of that audience, there is a lot of ROI potential there.

I'd probably argue they are making fun of the whole discussion of itself which is more about the 'haters' than Zegler imo.
