Talk about anything Phillies. OFFICIAL OFF SEASON thread.
Great question. Maybe 4 years no more than $20M/yr. Haven't looked at history of catcher money. He'll be a 30-year old catcher. But he'll be quickly grabbed off the market. Knapp's been overachieving though.Do you think we should sign Realmuto. It may take 6-7 years at 25 million per year.

good riddance
I don't know if it is the talent evaluation as much as the lack of player development. It seems like the less time these guys spend in the farm system the better. With that in mind, they need to stop drafting these 18 year old kids and get more college guys like Nola and Bohm.I am not sure anymore with the present evaluators of talent in place in the FO making the decisions about personnel that have done little to change the losing culture of the dildoes/melties, Under Dallas Green and Chollie, the player evaluators were def different and we never went dumpster diving back in those days. Subsequently, we always had good-to-great bullpens and many all-star infielders/outfielders. Now, we have just dimwits that think spending gobs of money is the answer. Sort of the dildoe/meltie version of the Steinbrenner Yankees.
