Do you think we should sign Realmuto. It may take 6-7 years at 25 million per year.

I am not sure anymore with the present evaluators of talent in place in the FO making the decisions about personnel that have done little to change the losing culture of the dildoes/melties, Under Dallas Green and Chollie, the player evaluators were def different and we never went dumpster diving back in those days. Subsequently, we always had good-to-great bullpens and many all-star infielders/outfielders. Now, we have just dimwits that think spending gobs of money is the answer. Sort of the dildoe/meltie version of the Steinbrenner Yankees.

Great question. Maybe 4 years no more than $20M/yr. Haven't looked at history of catcher money. He'll be a 30-year old catcher. But he'll be quickly grabbed off the market. Knapp's been overachieving though.

I know it’s hindsight but Sixto looks so good and overpowering, with control, it seems Klentak did not personally check out the guy but took bad advice from others, and blew not labeling him untouchable. He’ll, they could have let the Marlins have Vinnie and Pivetta and Alfaro to get Realmuto.

Too bad the Phils couldn’t make the playoffs. We might have had the opportunity to watch a sibling rivalry with Aaron Nola facing his brother catcher Austin Nola of the SD Padres.

Yea, the owner should clean the FO out. Get people in there that no what they are doing in evaluating talent instead of just spending gobs of money on dumpster diving "finds".

He just could not build a solid pitching staff from the farm or via trades. That’s the fault of those in the organization and scouting system responsible for identifying and selecting talented players, and Klentak himself for not insuring knowledgable people could do the job.

What else is new? Since Charlie left, this franchise has been dog shit and it looks like nothing has changed.

I don't know if it is the talent evaluation as much as the lack of player development. It seems like the less time these guys spend in the farm system the better. With that in mind, they need to stop drafting these 18 year old kids and get more college guys like Nola and Bohm.
