Slater is a great special teams player and I think this is a good deal. He never really caught on as a WR or DB but his special teams play is great and he could be used in other roles though not super effectively.

I agree about McCourty.

Am I the only one wishing the Pats would lock up Revis to a long term dean asap? I'd hate to see that guy go after only one season(maybe two) as him and Browner make an awesome duo together. This is the first time in quite some time that I've been super excited about our defense.

Special teams ace and great all around guy, no hands or bad route running, timing, something kept him from being a viable WR. I was surprised he couldn't make safety or corner. He's smart enough.

Maybe Revis gets a ring and decides New England can get a discount in hopes he gets a second...here's to hoping.

You don't do anything with Revis contract until after the season.
If we win the SB win he might be cooperative to stay'
If we don't get the win, he'll be hard to justify the huge contract for next year.
No matter what, it will have to be restructured to keep him.....
