They have been running the whole game.

They have 300 yards of rushing and averaging 6.5 yards per carry for 4 TDs on the ground after 3 qtrs.

they passed a little bit, because they wanted to see what the true Freshman Backup could do.

Buechele might not be ready, so you have to call some pass plays to get the reps in for USC.

I dont want to see a true freshman Ehlinger making his very first throws at the Colliseum next week.

These last few years have aged all us Texas fans miserably....but that being said.


THank God for Nebraska, A&M, and Baylor looking even worse than Texas so far this year.
And it helps that the TERPS might get off to a 3-0 dominating start.
Now, if only OU can go and lose by 5 touchdowns tonight.....Herman will be able to breathe for a few days.

The TERPS looking good does help quite a bit.

Durkin might just be able to get them to 4-0 before they head to Columbus.
I follow them really close as well as Texas as my 2nd school. They are nowhere near as bad as people think.

I am not going to judge Texas until I see them play the middle tier Big 12 squads like TTU, Baylor, K-State, WVU,ISU.

They did what they were supposed to do. They completely refigured the defense and went vanilla. Changed a few things on offense. It was a step to competent, which was a huge step from last week. Going to need another big step forward next week, because competent isn't going to beat USC

At least they played better this week...Warren is a beast. Defense kept SJSU, which averages so far over 400 yrds a week to only about a hundred.

Warren: 13 carries for 166 yds
Texas: 628 yards of offense, over 400 rushing yards.

So, at least they played better. Brutal run of top QBs coming up next 5 games.

..Saw Maryland put up 63 pts today, without their starting QB who blew his knee out toward the end of the game against Texas. Believe they are a decent team, probably go bowling again this year.

correction: with that last couple of drives against the backups, they ended up with about 170 yards of total offense

We pushed around a high school team, and we only started doing that when we went completely vanilla and just ran ran ran. Nothing to learn from this game that will help us against usc. In fact, when we tried to run a real offense in the first quarter/half, we looked terrible.
