at least with the sixers we have mcw, nerlens noel, and several high draft picks...future looks bright! there's little daylight on this phillies team... most of the veterans should have already been moved so we would have had more young guys to compete for positions.

Here are some positives if the Phillies continue to play as they have been:

1. Rollins will sit more often, which could mean next season's option will not vest

2. Utley is healthy, productive, and has trade value.

3. Cliff Lee is healthy, productive, and has trade value.

4. Ruiz is healthy, productive, and has trade value.

5. Burnett, Byrd, and Papelbon contracts expire next season.

6. Brown, Asche, Hernandez, and Revere have been productive.

7. Some minor leaguers are showing promise.

After 2015, payroll should open up and the team will be younger.
