Yep, how short a period and how dominant.... the Emmitt Smith vs Terrell Davis debate

I think 5-7 seasons of greatness is short enough... But i don't only look at that.... I really FIRST look at a players career numbers, and then see how many seasons a player had special numbers, like a .400 or higher OBP, 30+ Hrs, 100+RBIs,etc...

the thing about most GREAT players is that they also had some great seasons...

Great pitcher that should be taken in this style draft, but I would question first overall. Solely for value of pick.

I like both the Rose pick and the Henderson pick for the reasons that were stated. Rose would be one of your best choices for a non HOF and Henderson is one of the two best lead off hitters available in this draft.

Preference. For me. I start with how great a player they were, then let longevity and contribution to Championships break ties

I use all of those. I also use defense and what I may know about the player as a teammate.
