Simple question explained

Have I been overly optimistic - this season as everyone seems to claim?

I have predicted 7 wins - and the Broncos have 7 wins.

The data is beginning to come in and - I'm afraid to say it - the data suggests the mainstream here has been overly pessimistic.

If we were all English - that would make most you fellows - Blighters (and Yankers).

You may now return to your pastime of worrying about some aspect of this team's apparent weaknesses.

It's still a happy clan fan base, for even the pessimists were hoping that the optimists were right. Debbie Downer and Negative Nancy are quite happy to join in on the fun!

My Deal was not pessimism of Team . I know this is a SB team ! The weakness I seen was us unloading the football over and over because of what the D from other teams was giving us.. So in Essence we was letting other teams pick our plays. that is a disaster.

Well I thought that IMO they needed to start with the SB year to draw from is all ..I still say they were trying to take plays from last year ..and IMO that was wrong !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had what this team does great they should of started there is all

true .. I still say the key to the O is Screens ! you get that going full tilt and the NFL will see 3 SB's in a row by us .

I think it has been a decent mix here on the board. Can't have everybody thinking the team is incredible and can't have the opposite either. With the Broncos this year I think the perception has been a bit of we just don't know quite what this team is. I know we have a great defense. That part is locked in unless injuries just destroy us. The offense though has been a mixed bag. We have seen glimpses of a decent offense like that of against the Chiefs and Lions. At the same time we have seen just the down right terrible offense like that against Baltimore, Oakland, and Cleveland. Then we have this one great game against Green Bay and while it makes me hopeful that the offense is turning a corner I still would like to see it 1) do well on the road and 2) show consistency. I still think even if our offense comes back down a bit that our defense is enough to carry us this season. You look at some of the great defenses over the past 20 years and they had to carry a pretty average offense usually. Great defense can definitely beat a great offense. It is why I have hope that we can actually beat the Patriots. They don't have an OL like we just faced in Green Bay so our coverage guys won't have to do the cover for 7 seconds. They don't really have that much of a run game either. So a great defense should be able to limit them somewhat knowing what they are going to do.

Who are you referring to? In the season prediction thread posted before the season began, 11 of 18 that responded predicted 12/13/14 wins. That doesn't seem to be lacking faith.

Are you denying the premise that I have been labeled consistently optimistic this season - while the collective wisdom was far less charitable in their analysis?

Ah, yes....but that was prior to any Broncos fan seeing the "offensive" product on the field.

I hope you all know- I'm just having fun with you - I know I tend to the optimistic side with the Broncos, but sometimes the optimist turns out right.
