To be honest dean, your issue with Long was that he was drafted over your man crush Moses. Nothing more.

No. Some of you were saying that he was going to get a contract like Moses b/c he was just as good as Moses. I always called him an average backup player but some posters were quick to come to his defense when I stated this. Just b/c he started for us doesn't mean he was a good player. Shark you yourself praised this guy and Murphy better than Moses. 100's of posts on this subject.

Some one had to say something to remind you that Moses wasnt nearly as good as you thought. And he still isnt.

Morgan Moses was better than Trent Murphy and Spencer Long

Long will not be a bank breaker given he has been injured. He is a good option in that he can play both C and G and knows the offense. Re-sign him.

So now how much a guy gets paid determines if he is a better player??

Moses is like the hottest chick at a weight watchers meeting.... in the end he is still just a fat chick that Bruce over paid.

Terrelle Pryor WR 28- keep but only on a 1-3 mil contract

Shawn Lauvao G 30- release

DeAngelo Hall CB 34- release

Zach Brown ILB 28- keep

Niles Paul TE 28- league minimum

Will Compton ILB 28- league minimum

Mason Foster ILB 28- keep. Shouldn’t cost more than 2-3 mil.

Trent Murphy OLB 27- keep depending on cost

Arthur Jones DT 31- bye

Chris Carter ILB 28- bye

Brian Quick WR 28- what is the point? Coaches didn’t play him this season.

Junior Galette OLB 29- keep at current rate

Tony Bergstrom C 31- bye

Phil Taylor DT 29- keep...same offer. I want to see what he can do in a real game, if healthy.

Spencer Long C 27- keep...shouldn’t be more than 3 mil.

Bashaud Breeland CB 25- keep but I think he will price himself out of town.

Ryan Grant WR 27- keep...shit.

Dustin Hopkins K 27- go back and get the kid that replaced him.

Brown is a tackling machine, but is a liability in pass coverage. He was available last year because this is widely known. Nothing this year has changed that. If he is reasonable about his value, sign him. But, like last year, he probably over values himself again, making it realistic he is leaving.

Niles will cost too much for the production he gives. We can do better for cheaper.

Let Compton leave. Keep Vigil.

Would love to see Breeland stay, but he will be cost prohibitive, especially with the young CBs we have waiting in the wings.

Gallette will also be like Breeland. Looking for his final big payday. He will be too expensive for a 5-8 sack a year guy and doesn't play the run all that well. Most likely he leaves.

Grant has changed my mind. He reminds me of a James Thrash. No one will be pursuing him so we can probably sign him for a cheap contract. He can also play all 3 WR positions. Good backup for the price.

Vigil isnt a free agent, so its not a resign issue.

I like Compton.. dont ask me why.

I agree Breeland and possibly Jr will be cost prohibitive.

I was never a fan of Niles, but I hear he is a special teams leader. So Im on the fence with him.. as our Special teams redefines SPECIAL at the moment.
