Should we honestly trade Von Miller?

I think Fangio deserves to be given the chance to assemble his own defense .. and if that includes Miller, I'm on board with keeping him ..

If building his defense would benefit more from having some different ( younger ) defensive players in here to go with Chubb, I think that should be looked at ..

Another thing to keep in mind is : how long does Von Miller keep the value of possibly bringing back 2 first round picks ?? … Does he even have that now, at this point, at his age ??

Four years ago is ancient history .. Von would have brought a haul of picks after the SB 50 win, but does he still have that value ?? … and at the rate he is going - he'll finish the season with what - 5 or 6 sacks ?? .. in a Vic Fangio coached D ??

Von Miller is not playing the way Mack played last year … He has not been special this season, and the longer he goes with these games where he disappears, the idea of getting a first round pick, let alone two first round picks, starts to go out the window ..

30 year old players with dwindling stats and impact need to be dealt while the value is still there … Reputation doesn't bring much return when you're on the wrong side of 30 and your backups have better stats than you do

We're full on rebuild, but some people won't accept it. I say stock pile picks and find a FO that is capable of making them.

Based on what I’ve seen this season, the defense is pretty good but the offensive line has major issues. Also, Flacco is not the solution but I wouldn’t want to put a young guy behind that line.

Build up the OL and this team would be much better.

I would trade Von for bad roster reason and for Von's sake.

I would say that’s one more game than you gave Vance Joseph. You quit on him before his first game. So I don’t think you should preach at anyone who’s a bit listed off right now.

he was great.

Also, I was right I said Shanahan was the right hire .

agreed, i think all of this is becoming pretty apparent and needs to get done in Denver.

This is a good way of putting it. I agree with this.

20 offseason you could. Eating dead money might be smart. We need a solid rebuild enough of band aide ones.

I am frankly ready for the rebuild.

However - the smart play is to throw Lock our there to see if he is worth building behind. You don't want to get to the end of the season and not know if you are shopping for a QB - when you have other needs. I hear the Oline tackles in the next draft are quality with depth.

First off let me say I don’t want it to happen because I love Von but at this point he might be better off to us going somewhere for a couple of 1st rounders. I could see someone like the Eagles giving up 2 firsts and maybe we get some depth at OL or LB back in the trade.

it’s clear this team just isn’t gonna be competitive this year so is it better to get what we can now before we lose even more skill players in the offseason(Sanders, Wolfe, Harris, etc) or should we ride it out and continue to do what we’ve been doing for years now and hope next year is better?

Eagles defense issues are in the secondary mainly

Their defensive front is pretty good

Eagles need secondary help and it they were hesitant to give up 2 first rounders for Ramsey they are not going to give up 2 firsts for Miller - not a knock on Miller - just a matter of the Eagles need and they historical way GM Roseman operates

There’s little chance the Eagles would give up two 1sts but our philosophy is that a consistent and unrelenting pass rush helps the secondary more than most cornerbacks can. I think the Eagles would definitely, 100% have interest in Von Miller...but it depends on at what price.

Also, Denver doesn't owe Von Miller anything. He's been a great player for us, but it's not like there's a pity party and we have to trade him because he deserves it.

He's been to two super bowls with the Broncos and won in 2015. It's not like he's Raymond Bourque or anyting

Of course they don't. That really isn't the point. They aren't going to trade him because they feel sorry for him. They are gonna trade him if they feel what they get in return helps them for their future.

Von is sitting back collecting a lot of money.... He isn't happy but I doubt he figures he can say much... I do appreciate the teammate Von is. He could be going publicly like a lot of star players whose teams are failing, you can tell he is frustrated but he stays professional.
