I think he is just showing the NFL that he still wants to coach and not do the 15 shows he is on now inc MacAfee, Manning Bros, Mike Lombardi, Patricia etc. Fact is only 1 NFL team was interested in him being Atl and Morris got the job. Maybe sme NFL owner will give this 70 something coach another shot? I can't see him not trying to break Shula's record and prove he can win w/o Brady

That just seems like the absolute worst match for him at his age. College coaching is not a retirement plan, it's a shit ton of work and there are hard ceilings on all but like 8 programs or so. UNC is not a natty program. Pure paycheck chasing.

Paterno was coaching at 84. Joe Biden is President at 82.

If you gave me 100 guesses as to where BB went next, I never would have guessed UNC. I would have guessed any NFL team first, then major colleges, high schools that are local or connected to him, some development league or office position.

UNC is not a fit i saw coming.

Bottom line is North Carolina was not a serious football power with Mack Brown, and won't be with Bill Belichick (who only committed to three years). But they will get a hell of a lot more media coverage and make more money now.
