That is complete fucking bullshit. Troy played out his contract and wasn't going to be resigned. He retired with Kraft and Belichick by his side.

And now he's a coach on the team.
Brown was released by the Patriots on March 1, 2005 for salary cap reasons, but he signed a new contract with them on May 23, 2005. He signed despite a better financial deal from the New Orleans Saints.[10] In the 2005 season, he recorded 39 receptions for 466 yards.

Quoting from Wikipedia. I remembered it happening, but just looked there quickly and it seems to be documented.

Being released and re-signed to avoid a cap hit, something in which the player agreed to do as do many players, is a far cry from the "left him high and dry claim" you were attempting to make. Troy, like Brady, was a team player and did what was best for the team. He coaches on the team for christssake.

I didn't attempt to make it seem anything. They cut him for cap reasons. He hit the open market. Almost 3 months later he resigned with the team. That's facts. There's no spin on that or anything.

I'm glad Troy is still with the team. He has loyalty and went back for less money, but the team straight up cut him for money reasons after he changed positions to help the team. That has never sat well with me.

It’s also telling that Belichick’s record is so different with Tom Brady than without him. In games when Belichick had Brady as his starting quarterback, he’s 219-64 in the regular season and 30-11 in the postseason. With all other quarterbacks, Belichick is 80-93 in the regular season and 1-2 in the postseason. So we have a sample size of 176 games telling us that Belichick is a sub-.500 coach when he doesn’t have the greatest player in NFL history as his starting quarterback.

He is trying to get Shula's record, but unlike Shula he never had a perfect season nor mutiple titles with different quarterbacks. Shula took 4 different qbs to the Super Bowl.

Shula only had two losing seasons in his career, Billy is up to 7. Possible 8 this year.

No back to back Super Bowl winners have produced a better record than those Dolphins either.

Belichick is a great DC, average to below avg coach and a lousy GM
He is a great DC coach, won a couple SB with Giants. He was a good HC with the Pats, but he did have a great supporting cast. There was a lot of chemistry between him and Brady, one of those duos that don’t come along too often.

IMO what is unacceptable is to have his kids and buddies doing things. Mayo should have been appointed DC some time ago.

Locals here think his days are numbered. Not months. Days.

4 years into the post Brady and zero progress. Krafts must make the call. He has boatloads of cap space. Most in league.

Change is needed

The higher one climbs the ladder, the more his ass shows.
Is that a quote from the dark ages, say century 11-12 something like that?

Time to retire, Bill. You'd suck in the broadcast booth, so don't even think about that.
