If he is a first round talent I would give up a first round pick if we do not have to give up players. That is a fair enough trade considering we should be drafting in the late 20's
you mean 32...
I voted no as I just don’t see a first round being needed. Not because I’m not interested. I’m very interested in what this kids utility can bring to our weak secondary.
No doubt Howie is picking up the phone. Just don’t feel like they (or possibly anyone) is ready to throw a 1st.
It would be amazing if we could get him for one of our two 3rds next year, including a player, and maybe we throw in a later round swap (5th for 6th as example) to sweeten it just enough.
Challenge I see here is Miami likely doesn’t have high priority on players. They want picks. Let’s see what Howie can do. We know he is the man at getting a good deal from Miami. And he could use a good coup as I honestly think he has botched the comp formulas this off-season.
Although....just reading a little more the first rounder might not be the worst idea. If we are picking 21 or later (possible) than we would be getting Fitz as a sophomore player with MUCH more talent than we could get from a late first round pick.
Plus....Sendejo could be sent packing and recoup a 4th next year, correcting some of that comp formula mis management I’ve seen. We would not lose a pick next year, just late first to fourth value for this talent? I’m warming up to it.
Orlando, you didn't cast a vote.
There is no way that they will trade a 1 for a safety.
They ARE that Eagles team.Yeah. I’m trying to shake the feeling too. The Eagles have undervalued that position for a long time. But maybe this is another part of showing they are not that eagles team any more.
Also....he’s a bit more than a Safety.
