Vote and discuss.

Yes, he is a QB who has won a Super Bowl and is in his 11th season in the League.

He is an elite QB and elite QB's are often times (TB, Rodgers, Peyton just to name a few) are allowed to audible at the LOS. They are the leader of the team and allowed a certain amount of latitude.

And a rookie HC should listen to his players, especially a leader like RW.

100% but we also all know Denver was in the shotgun at the goal line because Russ wants it that way.

Russell was probably scared he wouldn't convert thus ruining his 'MVP race' and therefore urged Hackett to call for the field goal.

Only logic I can come up with.

That was some coaching tater salad if I’ve ever seen it. Maybe he was tired of Russ dumping it to the RBs short of the first down? I Dunno

:pound:

Hackett: "Okay we got it man... everyone said you don't check down or throw over the middle enough... you made your point!"

Rookie HC and a QB with a new team. There were 2 choices: either call time-out and go for it or let the clock tick and kick a FG. Calling a time-out and then kicking would have been a worse blunder. There was no time for Wilson to debate the decision and doing so would have made Hackett look weak. They made a strong decision. It wasn't the decision most of us would have made and it was most likely the wrong decision. It's easy to 2nd guess when something doesn't work out.

Denver is where they belong, a very poor performance overall, even with russ oats.

Yesterday night Russ held on to the ball too long and did his scrambles. Several I saw, he could have thrown IOB. You guys are right, Wilson does contribute to negative yardage when he tries to be Super Man.

Wilson does have a reputation of holding onto the ball too long and trying to make big plays by scrambling around. Backfired on him several times last night.

Russell Wilson certainly wasn't perfect. He made some mistakes and looked a little rusty (zero pre-season snaps). However, he wasn't the reason the Broncos lost. Wilson threw for 340 yards, had a 69% completion percentage and a 101 QB rating. He also:
  • Wasn't the one that fumbled on the 1 yard line twice.
  • Didn't call for a 64 yard FG, instead of going for it on 4th down.
  • Wasn't the tight end that missed a great pass into the corner of the endzone.
  • Isn't the coach that gave up too early on a good running game.
  • Wasn't the player that committed 12 penalties for 106 yards.
  • Isn't the coach that muffed clock management.
That loss by the Broncos was a pure team loss. They had many chances to win that game but they blew it. Seattle was simply the better team last night according to the scoreboard.

Good objective analysis. Kudos!
I faded out and did not watch 2nd half.
Those numbers sound very good.

Of course he should have.

It ended up the same.

Dying shod with boots is a preferred action.

Keyword in bold which makes the argument useless.
