Someone is definitely fantasizing

Okaya. You believe that TJ surgery will keep Sherman from playing next season. I say that as long as he has the surgery in the next month or two, he will be good to go by training camp.

I propose an avatar bet.

He's on IR, I'll sport avatar of your choice from week one 'til week eight. He suits up for camp, you sport the avatar I choose until week eight. PUP or non elbow related injuries that bench him will be a push.

No chance he misses any time next year at all, he's not throwing anything.

Oh please. Ware had Tommy John surgery and was able to start the following season. Sherman might miss a few of the early games, but he'll play next season.

It's not the MLB where you're out 1-2 years.

At least Sherman doesn't throw anything except his weight around. Get it done now and get back ASAP next year.

Uh...no.

If you can play golf a few months after TJ surgery (and you can), he will be good to play by training camp. Will he be as effective with the ball in the air? Eh....dunno. But there isn't any reason to believe he won't be a top shelf corner next year.

If this had happened to a QB, that's another issues all together.

Golf and football are almost complete opposites....

Well given that the Seahawks had 19 players on IR and their entire secondary was injured so I don't think there is much reason to believe that.

Yup. Golf puts constant heavy torque on your elbow dozens of times per match. Playing DB in the NFL does not. Ergo if your can play golf a few months after TJ surgery, you will be able to play DB in seven.

Eh, getting to the SB requires a huge amount of talent, and a ton of luck. One you can control, the other you can't.

Seattle has the vast majority of their key contributors under contact for the next season and beyond, so the first part is taken care of. We will see how the rest plays out. They have as good (if not better) a chance as anyone for the next two years.

Is that a big deal for football players? :noidea: Given what he does, I'd imagine he'll be ok. But either way, major props for playing through that kind of issue

It's a much bigger deal for baseball than football. I heard Sherman should be back for training camp.

His ability is mostly in body control and his brain dissecting the play. A bum arm is not that big a deal for a cornerback. He may miss an interception or two but no doubt he will be in position more often than not. Sherman's elbow is the least of Seattle's worries.

Wow. Didn't see that coming at all.

Hopefully it won't hamper his abilities that much. Talk about signing your long term extension in time :yahoo:
