Worth every penny.

Can't wait to see our games in 2014 and the Kaepernick/Crabtree response to the NFCCG last year.

Now for him to tear an acl or something. Not that I'm wishing it on him. But he is set if he does.

So now that they're paying for the highest paid safety and cornerback...what does their cap situation look like? I know we're going to run into some similar problems soon, but they're going to have to lose some quality guys very soon.

Russell Wilson is next. You know he wants a big contract after the Super Bowl win.

WOW seattle is screwed. Their secondary with 2 players is at what 24 million a year. They still have to pay Wilson.

U are screwed money wise. U have the highest paid Safety and CB and going to have one of the highest paid QB's. Plus throw in Bennett(7mill), Harvin(10 mill), Okung(8mill), Lynch(7mill), Miller(6.8mill), Chancellor(7mill), Ungar(6.5 mill), Mebane(5 mill), and Avril(6.5 mill.)

Cap not looking good. They are at 123 million in Cap(top 51 114 mill) plus, 8.5 million in dead money. This is with out your 1st rd pick and paying Wilson. They will have to cut players soon or let some good talent leave. Every team has to go through this but Seattle has a lot of money tied up in their secondary.

Now Im not saying you wont be good but front office has a lot of work to do.

the cap goes up to fit rising TEAM salaries, other good players start to get larger and larger contracts. its not as simple as the rising cap will take care of this one contract.

I'm sure Seattle planned this out and it won't cripple their team. All teams face the cap and good teams have to make tougher decisions.

Gosh, Seattle is screwed:L it is just too bad our Front Office didn't think this through.:L I bet they are in the VMac right now saying "Well, we didn't think that through" "What the hell are we going to do now?" "That purguy is pretty sharp, with all his football knowledge, we really should have thought this through better and had a conference call or something" "Instead, we reacted w/out thinking this through:L " "That was really, really dumb on our parts":laugh3:

Relevant:

I don't get how it is that the Seahawks organization shits rainbows (Our benchwarmers are just ready to bust out! We can resign everybody and it won't hurt our cap at all! If someone doesn't want to resign with us, it doesn't matter cuz next man up will be an all pro! Everything Pete and John touches turns to gold! Richard Sherman isn't a horrible doucheturd of a human! Our team isn't evil personified!) and yet there is still so much insecurity and such a huge persecution complex oozing out of every oriface from that fanbase. Which one is it? If nobody has it better than you then STFU about it and enjoy. If things are really that terrible then stop saying how great things are.

Worst fanbase in sports, hands down. Truly awful.

Sherman deserves every penny he got. With the cap expected to keep increasing at a substantial level for the foreseeable future, players at premium positions are going to benefit the most. QB(s), LT(s), CB(s), & pass rushers will continue to get big paydays.

I wouldn't say screwed exactly, but they'll have some difficult choices to make the next couple years when it comes to guys like Maxwell, Wagner, Wright and Avril.

Seattle is similar to the 49ers, the decisions get tougher and tougher on who to keep. then other players start to leave when they're eligible for free agency. that's exactly what the cap systems is supposed to do, nothing new.

the 49ers plan it out best they can, and Seattle does too.

You can't just say, "The front office thought this through," so everything will be OK. Losing guys because of talent is part of the game. Trying to deny that is just dumb. You have a lot of money tied into 2 guys and soon it will be 3 and possibly 4 (Chancellor will want a big pay day) so guys are going to leave. It doesn't mean that the team won't be good. They might win the Superbowl 3 times in the next decade. Good players will leave because there isn't enough money to go around. The same will happen with every team in the NFL.

Man after they extend Russel Wilson they will have nearly a 1/3 of their salary tied into 3 players. This isn't the NBA where 2 or 3 star players can win you multiple titles while you pay the rest of the roster peanuts.
