You were. I'm just in the mood because I'm going to the movie later. Let me have my moment!

Nice. I want to go so bad. Everyone is saying it is better than The Dark Knight. I thought TDK was unbeatable, this must be fucking excellent. I'm going on Tuesday though. Less crowds, cheaper tix.

I've heard the same. That's what makes me so interested.

Back on topic: Is anyone else wakeboarding?

I've never done it, but from what I understand it's a little tougher. Your balance point is different since the cable is higher than where the line would attach to a boat.

If Shea Weber wanted out so bad, why did he sign an offer sheet that basically forces Nashville to match and keep him? Did he really think they were going to let him go for some mediocre draft picks? Not really sure what his agent was telling him. Sounds like the advice an NFL wide receiver's agent/cousin would give.

I don't think it's that he wanted out so bad, its that he wanted the $110 million so bad.
no coincidence that the offer sheet came shortly after the NHL suggested term limits on contracts for the next CBA
if these monster contracts have the chance of going away, he wanted to get his in place before that happens.

if he HAS to spend 14 years in Nashville for that pile of cash, so be it.

Another point to bring up is that Weber's value will never be higher. He's already considered one of the top three best defenders in the league without much debate (number one on my list). This seems like the best time for him to get his deal.

It's true, if it comes this off-season. If they make it to the next off-season, he'll be the top guy on the market since the $27m has already been paid. Biting the bullet could bring them a lot of talent next year.

True, but if Nashville is truly hurting financially then that seems to be most illogical scenario to me.
