Seen it, don't know what to make of it. We just signed Bakhirti whatever. And with Haggans due in 3 weeks. Is Merriman a real consideration?

As I understand it we chose Bac-Man over Merriman - if true, then Merriman didn't pass the test and continues to be a FA.

I definitely agree with you, I think Baalke and Harbaugh are willing to look at every aspect of every situation, I think they will do whatever it takes to put out the best 53 every week.

I don't think so on this one Deep - I think it was just a case of Merriman being on the lot so why not. I would be shocked and a little disappointed if the majority of our fans wanted us to sign Merriman.

Help or hurt? - Anyway, I agree with the CJ sentiment - I know he was a favorite of some here and I can't recall ever hearing anything bad. So that is a little peculiar

This reminds me of the Brett Swain pick up last year... Niners in need of a WR because Josh Morgan goes down for the season and Braylon Edwards expected to come back from injury in a few weeks. The Niners opted to sign Brett Swain over veterans like Housmenzadeh (sp) et al because they were comfortable with Ginn and Williams taking Morgan's spot unti Edwards returns from injury and Swain plays special teams...

He had a knee procedure right before camp started. I believe he had a scope but not sure besides Bac-Man probably is more valuable on ST at the moment and Cam is safe on the P/S

No Flemming and Hamilton were on the PUP. Cam worked out with the team but rarely practiced in team drills. I believe he got in on the last preseason game I'll check it out post an article.
