So, will criminal charges be filed like they were for Bertuzzi? Other than nationality jurisdiction differences, what's the difference?
Nick Kypreos: "If Thornton really wanted to hurt Orpik, he would have messed him up even more"
/By the way, Thornton may appeal his 15 game suspension.

i hope he appeals and they add another 5 games on. just accept your god damn punishment for such a stupid act.

I can see the argument from Thornton's perspective that for a first time offender, 15 games is pretty harsh. I wouldn't be surprised if he does decide to appeal (and he is well within his rights to do so).
Can it go up if he appeals? I don't think so. He should just take the 15 and let it go.
The outcome (hopefully). Unless Orpik can cite damages, like income, which he can't unless he never plays again, it'd be a tough case I'd imagine. I don't think Orpik will do it either. But he certainly has a criminal case, seeing as it meets all the things needed for assault in the state of Mass. (Read article, see if I can find it)
1st act should mean shit.
1st act is the reason he still has a chance to play hockey this year....................
What he did was uncalled for and there is no need for that in hockey
Oh I agree and I hope he just wants to move on from this incident and take his medicine, I'm just saying that he and his representatives could argue that 15 games is severe.
/If you remember, Raffi got 4 games reduced from his original 25 game suspension via appeal.

1st off. What torres hit??????????/ If it the one on Hossa then that plain BS
2nd. He is doing something a coward does. A coward coplains and appels to get it reduced. A man takes his medience, comes back and Plays hard

Yup, Bettman took four games off the Torred suspension for his hit on Hossa. As for your second point, I agree.
