I don't know. Kirk Cousins in the right office with the right talent around him would be on par with what we already have. And then there is Russell Wilson who is a Superbowl QB. Would be a interesting thought.

Ok, I'm sure you won't agree, but a 27 year old 1200 yard year out of Stephen Jackson is better than any running back we have right now, and you can turn and twist that anyway you want, but that is a fact, so you should concede. Again the players we have now have potential, doesn't mean they are ever going to come through.

And comparing Davis's first year when he was on the bench is :lame: you knew what I meant!

You say Davis never earned the number one spot, he got it by default, well sorry, but Bradford never earned the spot either, he started because the Rams pumped a butt load of money into his bank account and they had to start him to justify paying him the money!

In 2010 we didn't even have "potential". It was pretty evident that the Rams were garbage and weren't getting any better. Compared to them, this year's players already have "come through".

I knew Steven Jackson was gonna be the go-to, btw. Lol. I really can't say I blame you, though... I loved the guy. S-Jax was the only player other than Bradford who was worth a squirt of piss on that train wreck of a roster.

However... I did say "clearly" stronger. Steven Jackson circa 2006, I definitely would have given you. Maybe even 2009. Hell... career-wise, Tre Mason couldn't hold Jackson's jock strap. But in 2010, Jackson was battling a back injury all year and was a shell of his former self. He averaged 3.8 yards per carry, 8.3 yards per reception and had 6 TDs on the year.

So far, Tre Mason (6 years younger) is averaging 4.6 YPC, 9.3 YPR and has 4 TDs in one-third of the starts Jackson had... and that all while sharing the load with Zac Stacy (3.9, 9.0, 1 TD) and Benny Cunningham (3.8, 8.0, 4 TDs).

We have three good RBs now, instead of just one. In short, the RB position has been significantly upgraded since 2010. Come on, man. You have to know I'm right on this one.

I would say "try again", but honestly... who else could you possibly name next? Kenneth Darby, maybe?

Pretty funny how everyone keeps reverting back to Bradford's rookie season? LOL...

Sure he did well, but what has he done since then? He had his chance and what did we learn? One year wonder?? Face it, HE SUCKS!! Get over it and turn the page! Move on to the next guy!

Well Caynine, you did say that you would concede, evidently when you post on here, what you say means nothing:yahoo:

Jackson was constantly seeing 8 in the box, and our oline wasn't any better than it is now. By the way Jackson was an ALL PRO in 2010

Your argument about Amendola is true, he wasn't "technically" a starter, yet at the same time he was, usually your slot WR isn't in there on the first snap, but he played more than any other WR, both years Bradford was healthy Amendola led the team in receiving, oh and by the way many more catches than any WR we currently have! As I said Amendola caught the ball if you got it anywhere near him. He caught like 85 and 55 in those two years. Actually Gibson caught more passes that year than anyone on this team will this year, and whether you agree or not Gibson came up with a lot of big 3rd down catches. Do tell me who will come close to either of those numbers this year? That's right, no one!

You asked who was better, I gave you two, sure it may only be two, but that's two more than we have now! We've been the youngest team in the league for the past two years now, so don't tell me Davis was handed a gold mine of a team.

You even said it, we have a lot of guys with potential, until they do it, that's all they have, is potential.
Again, I guess I just can't believe anything you post on here any, more:lol:

Let's see what Hill does this week against Washington this week and then Thursday against the Cardinals and then against the Giants. If he wins all those games and gives the Rams a chance at their first winning season since 2003 then the switch to Hill was the right one.

Neither Hill or Davis is going to be relevant for the Rams at QB next year so I would rather take a winning season rather then trying to find out whether Davis is a starting NFL QB when the coaching staff has already determined that he is not.

We are not winning the rest of our games! Even if we did end up with a winning season, where would that put us, oh that's right starting all over again next year with a new QB and probably right back where we were! Yes the coaching staff switched to Hill , but I'm pretty sure I never heard anyone say that Davis doesn't have a chance of being a NfL starting QB, maybe it's not with the Rams, but I never heard anyone say that!

I'd rather take our lumps this year to see if Davis has the potential to be our starting QB, and if not maybe he will play well enough to be our number one back up next up year. Again, a lot of you just aretn getting that, this season is already lost, let's find out who we have and weed out the dead weight, example Bradford, Jake Long, Wells, Cook, I could go on!

I don't think you are getting it man. right now the coaching staff thinks Hill gives them the best shot of winning games. thats all that matters to them period. if Hill come out and throws 3 picks they will probably put Davis in. No nfl team would take Davis over Bradford if giving the choice you have to see that?

You would rather lose games with Davis then win games with Hill just to find out if Davis is a starting QB in the NFL ?

The Rams coaching staff wants to win that is the bottom line and they feel Hill gives them a better chance of winning then Davis. Frankly, I want the Rams to win and could care less whether Davis someday becomes a starting QB in the NFL.

Hill is the QB for the Rams the rest of this season and I want them to win the rest of their games because to have a chance to have a winning season is very big for a young team like the Rams.

And I guess you aren't getting it either, what team in their right mind would take Bradford who has never done anything and is coming off two serious knee injuries? Worse case scenario Davis would be a locatable back up to some team, because there is a lot of really bad back up QB's out there!

And I get that "staff" "thinks" Hill gives them best shot at winning now and that is all they care about, but if they really cared they would look at the future of this team which obviously they haven't done in 4 years!

Yes I would, if that possibly means he can get the job done and start in the NFL possibly with he Rams next year, absolutely, I could give a rip about this year, it means nothing, if we are going to start all over again next year and revert back to our old losing ways!

so you don't want to go back to our losing ways but you don't mind losing now? your not employed by the rams so your job isn't on the line. they have to try to win every game for their jobs. not to mention they have seen a ton of Davis. and the QB spot isn't the only positions they have to look at next year they are evaluating everyone out there.

The losing mentality has to stop sometime and if they do that this year and even if the Rams go 8-8, that will be the first non losing season in almost 10 years.

If Shaun Hill can lead the Rams to a .500 or even a winning record then this season has not been a waste. The Rams have to stop losing and if Shaun Hill can do that then really who cares about a QB like Davis who will not be a starting QB in the NFL again after this season.

LMAO!!! :pound: "two more than we have now"?? SERIOUSLY???

Personally... I'd contend that 2014 is far and away the best roster we've had in nearly a decade. But let me get this straight so we're all clear on your assessment. And it's a simple yes or no. No need to elaborate further.

In your eyes, the 2010 St. Louis Rams were unequivocally better than the 2014 St. Louis Rams. Correct?

Getting rid of Shotty would be a start!

I would be willing to wage that you are dead wrong on Davis not starting. He could be a starter again this year as well as next!

In fact I am looking forward at watching Hill play the Cardinals. Calais Campbell and their d-line really gave us fits the last time. Austin Davis got beat up (6 sacks) pretty bad by this d-line. face it, he had no time. They blitzed the hell out of us. He didn't have time to scratch his ass! Our o-line was the problem. Lets see how Hill does.

Don't forget that we play the Seahawks at the end of the year. Just so you remember Austin Davis won the 1st match. They have a good d-line/secondary too. Lets see how Hill does.

In 2015. Austin Davis, Brett Hundley and RG3 ......there how's that??

Seriously? Who's your starter? Davis = back up. RG3= bum knees like Sam so he can't run like he use too and he's pre Madonna locker room cancer. would never work in the rams system. Defenses have caught up to that style of offense. Hundley= like this the best but not a day one starter maybe sit behind Sam and learn. And we have to go thru 3 years of rookie learning curve. I would resign Davis and a cheap vet roll the dice on Bradford if it doesn't work get your QB in 16 Bradford's contract will be gone so they will have plenty of cap space to go get someone.
