It wouldnt surprise me to see Bradford retire! He will probably hang out long enough to see if our team is dumb enough to continue the remaining year of his contract. Question is, are we dumb enough to even offer up a new deal! IMO...he wasnt that good before the injuries, throw in the fact that his knee has had 2 major surgeries, now I think its safe to say that he has been officially BULGERIZED!!

>>>>>>>>>> AT the end of the 2010 draft we shouldve taken Ndamukong Suh, at the end of the game the QB wouldve been Black and Blue! <<<<<<<<<<<<

I guess I'm the only one in the Sam camp lol. I'm just not crazy about this QB class coming out. Don't see anyone beating out Bradford in camp if hes healthy. No you can't play when your hurt they just need to have a back up plan. No one knows he will get hurt next year.

I agree, but I just don't see him staying healthy. It basically took a stiff wind to reinjure his knee this year. He's only back under a much cheaper contract IMO.

List of FA QB's next year. wonder if the rams might entertain anyone? Jake Locker?

That list is awful. Might as well keep Davis and/or Hill. Not a Locker fan, too erratic and always injured. Hoyer will probably be too expensive, Mallet got hurt immediately, and the rest are awful.

He might retire who knows. It probably depends on how his rehab is going. I think they will just give most of that money to him in the form of a signing bonus so it doesn't count against the cap so much. Don't think it's fair to compare to Bulger he's never not stood in the pocket and took his fair of shots. He certainly should have Bulgerized syndrome lol with all the massive shots he's taken.

I was in the Suh camp in that draft as well, but that doesn't matter now (Donald is a great alternative).

I agree the list is bad. And I agree I would want Davis & Hill too. At least they know the system. I would roll the dice if Bradford comes in Healthy next year vs spending a top pick on a QB. Keep building the talent! If they can resign Barksdale and draft a stud Guard our Oline looks pretty damm good. I like out WR's especially if Quick can come back and play like he was. Mason lookes like a beast paired with Stacey or Cunningham you are good. Cook is under contract but Kendrics is a FA so you might look at the draft for a good blocking TE. Drafting a LB or two is a must.

In that Arizona game, Davis had a pick 6 and a fumble 6 to kill any chance of a Rams comeback. Rams staff agreed and demoted him.

Favorites, Hill made a"lesser" mistake? Hills interception at the goal line was bigger than Davis's mistake, I don't know what you are talking about?

Rams had 21-0 lead over Dallas until the defense gave that game away, then Davis had to try to make something happen late in the game, Hills's interception was inexcusable for a so called veteran, who is less likely to make mistakes. There is no reason we don't win that game if Hill doesn't throw that pick!

Arizona game, not a great pass, but that was a tipped pass by Cook that just happened to deflect to Petterson it happens, as far as the fumble the ball is shaped that way, the bounce went Arizonas way, Hill had the same thing happen to him in the Denver game, he fumbled the ball bounced Hills way, Hill threw a bad pass to I believe Cook again, that Cook deflected, the ball feel harmlessly to the ground, Hill got good bounces of the ball Davis didn't, it happens every week in almost every game!

Locker, maybe:noidea:, liked him the year before he came out of college, but really hasn't done much, he has been hurt and he would be going from a team with no oline to another team with no oline.

Sanchez would suck on the Rams, not sure but he might be this years, Matt Flynn, Kirk Cousins, Matt Cassell, Sanchez is as you said, in a good system for him , so far!

Quite a few people on here wanted us to go after Hoyer a few weeks ago, and I said NO! back then! He is not that good, and if Cleveland doesn't win this week, I'm pretty sure Manziel will take over the rest of the year.

Now listen up Hill supports, Cleveland would possibly make this move so that they can see what they have in Manziel going forward to next year, and see if they maybe have to take another QB next year

Obviously this list is much better than this coming years FA's that being said I still wouldn't go into next year counting on Bradford as our starting QB. Odds are against Bradford lasting the year, even if he does, then the next year he still has a greater chance of getting hurt than other QB's. Yes all QB's are susceptible to getting hurt, Bradford even more so. All QB's are one play away from their careers being over, I just think
Bradfords chances are greater than the average QB and being a Ram fan I don't want to continue to have to go through this with Bradford, time to move on from him!

All we need is a game manager QB that's athletic and can make plays with his legs and arm. A QB that won't make mistakes.

If we end up with a gem QB that makes everyone around him better, then lookout.

And I cannot believe chase Daniel is almost making $5 million a year. That's stupid

FYI

Tom Brady's first 9 games as a pro ( he filled in his first game after Bledsoe's injury just like Davis did with Hill's ).

And before you go thinking I'm saying Davis is the next Brady, I'm not. I'm just saying you can't go by that small of a sample size like the Rams coaches are in determining Davis can't be a franchise QB. The sample size is too small.

Brady: 159/248 ( 64% ) 1611 yards, 12 TD, 7 INT, 7 fumbles and 22 sacks, 18 rushes for 22 yds

Davis: 180/284 ( 63% ) 2001 yards, 12 TD, 9 INT, 5 fumbles and 29 sacks, 16 rushes for 36 yds

Shoot, looking at Brady's stats it's unbelievable he wasn't benched after his 9th game ever in the NFL. After all, that's what the Rams did to Davis with similar numbers on a worse team.

I'm not saying Hill had more to work with, I'm saying Hill has been put into better situations than Davis was, all of a sudden the Defense is coming up with big plays and not putting the offense in a hole, special teams aren't committing the penalties they were also putting us in a deep hole. Yet at the same time all of a sudden Bailey is playing and playing well, making nice catches, also Mason has become our number one RB, our oline still sucks, but they are playing better and it's not because Hill is getting quick reads and making great decisions.

And if you want to compare Bradfords stats with Davis, then just compare Bradfords first year since this is Davis's first year. As far as Quick and Britt being these great receivers, quick was having a nice year, he's not elite by any stretch and Britt has been pretty much invisible all year except for one game. Amendola was a consistent good receiver year in and out! Bradford also had Steven Jackson, that guy wasn't bad, a lot of 8 in the box which "should" have opened up the passing game.

Again in 4 years Bradford dinked and dunked, he should have a lifetime completion percentage of at least 70%, it's not that far to throw to the line of scrimmage!

And Davis has been put into a better situation than Bradford's ever had. You really want to be fair and compare first year stats? Okay, why not?

Sam Bradford 2010: 354/590 (60%), 3512 YDS, 18 TDs, 15 INTs
Austin Davis 2012: 0/0 (0%), ), 0 YDS, 0 TDs, 0 INTs (Riding the pine behind Kellen Clemens and Bradford) Davis did throw fewer interceptions, though. Kudos to him!

Yes, Davis has overachieved this year and I'm grateful. But he's never won the #1 spot. No matter how you slice it, Davis is a starter by default and he was benched for the guy ahead of him this year and there's no reason to believe our record would be any different had Hill played the whole way through.

Also, Davis is playing with far and away more talent than Bradford? You are correct to a point! Davis has a lot of talent around him with potential, they haven't done anything yet! Bradford had a All Pro running back, Ammedola caught everything. Today we have a lot of talent on offense, a lot of guys with potential, but right now that's all I'm seeing, potential. Tavon Austin has pretty much done nothing, because they aren't using him properly, Bailey is just starting to come on because he has been finally playing, same with Mason, Dqvis played with neither of these guys. At least Bradford had Jackson and Amendola, Davis is growing with young 1st and 2nd year players that we don't even know what to do with yet! And seriously, our oline isn't much better than it ever was! And as far as I'm concerned Kendricks should be the go to TE, because Cook sucks!

You do realize that you were only able to name two guys, don't you? :pound: 4 years... a total of roughly 88 starters and backups worth of "talent laden" rosters to choose from... and you could only manage to pull TWO NAMES out of your hat?? An aging RB and a WR who started a total of 17 of a possible 47 games, at that???

Do you see my point now? Please tell me you do.

If you don't by now, I'll yell ya what... I challenge you to name ONE position/player on offense that the Rams were clearly stronger at in 2010 playing with Bradford than we are today with Davis. Just ONE... any player... any position... and I'll concede my point.

Good luck.

Ok, I'm sure you won't agree, but a 27 year old 1200 yard year out of Stephen Jackson is better than any running back we have right now, and you can turn and twist that anyway you want, but that is a fact, so you should concede. Again the players we have now have potential, doesn't mean they are ever going to come through.

And comparing Davis's first year when he was on the bench is :lame: you knew what I meant!

You say Davis never earned the number one spot, he got it by default, well sorry, but Bradford never earned the spot either, he started because the Rams pumped a butt load of money into his bank account and they had to start him to justify paying him the money!

The only guys I want on that list is Rivers, Newton and Luck who both will be franchised.
