Heh. Really eh. I've never heard that before. Next it'll be Snyder and Allen made Shanny hire his son and Haslett as well. Just more coal for the Mike Shanahan is a "triflin lyin ass bitch" fire.

Odd how there's no mention of it, ever, being Snyder and Allen's deal when peeps were ridin Shanny's jock over the McNabb deal.

Mike Shanahan and Donovan McNabb trade: Did Josh McDaniels get schooled by the Mastermind?

He has no problem taking the credit for Cuz though does he. He can miss me with that "saw a potential top 10 QB in Cuz" bullshit as well though. Methinks if Shanny felt that highly about Cousins. He'd of sat Griff down for Cousins much sooner in the Seattle playoff game than he did as after Griff hurt himself. Griffin and the Skins offense was full on garbage from that point on, didn't come close to scoring another point, but Shanny with this potential stud in waiting in Cousins, doesn't put Cuz in? Please, this is the same mothafucker that made Terrell Davis go into the game during a migraine headache episode. If Shanny thought Cuz had that kinda ballin in him. He'd of sat Griffin's ass immediately and put Cuz in.

[QUOTE-]I think the post saying maybe he should have grown a pair like Gruden did is the most appropriate. Remember the post Griffin surgery where Allen and Dan the Man were waiting for Griffin to wake up while Shanahan was no where to be found. dad calls this CSI but I think it speaks volumes as to what was going on. Again, he should have stood up to Dan. I may not be right but I don't think I am far off.

Shanny's a lotta things..........................being scared or a coward aren't among those things imo. And scared of Synder for what? This is the deal he signed with the Redskins. On January 5, 2010, Shanahan was formally introduced as the Redskins' 24th full-time head coach. As part of the deal, he was also named vice president of football operations, with the final say on football matters. He was one of several coaches who also had the title or powers of general manager, along with Bill Billichick and others.[9] Shanahan was signed to a five-year, $35 million contract.[10] Several months earlier, Bruce Allen was named the team's general manager. Shanahan and Allen split the duties held by a general manager, with Shanahan having the final say.[11] This model is similar to how Belichick and Scott Pioli worked during their eight years in New England.

But now we're supposed to believe Shanny let Snyder and Allen run his program over the most important position on the team. Not once, but twice.......................uh huh OK.. Fuck Shanny and his lyin vindictive ass

Maybe you don't get as much news on the west coast as we do here:

Mike Shanahan says Daniel Snyder led the push for Donovan McNabb

Mike Shanahan still sore about Snyder, Allen trading for McNabb

I am not supporting Shanahan, these articles were written recently and of course are Shanahan's side of the story. All that being said I remember they were looking at Bulger because I remember cringing at that idea. The rumor was that Allen and Snyder made the deal and then sprung it on Shanahan. Clearly they didn't work well together so maybe there is something to it. We know Snyder and Allen aren't going to say anything. Anyhow we are now way off base regarding the original thread.

The news is but mere fingertips away now, homey. We have dem there internets out yonder over here to ya know. It just doesn't pass the smell test to me. I recall the interest in Bulger as well. And I don't think working well together was real big on Snyder's or Shanny's wishlists. Shanny wanted a truckload of cash and total/final control over player personnel and naturally Snyder gave it to him because of Shanny's resume. Synder saying "fuck you, I'll make a move or a trade if I want to." is the shit he did to Zorn and Spurrier, but for HCs with credentials and rings like Gibbs and Shanny. Snyder was only too happy to defer to them.

Look how ass backwards this rolls........Almost immediately after inking Shanny to a 7 mill a year/35 million dollars total deal which included final say over all personnel moves for Shanny. Snyder then turns around almost immediately and trades two draft picks to Philly for almost 35 year old Donavon McNabb basically under Shanny's nose which A) means, Shanny had no interest in Nabby whatsoever. B) Snyder has also just fucked off 2 draft picks and Shanny just what? Let its roll off his back like water to a duck until he can stand it no more and must let the truth ring out.....................in January of 2016? C'mon now. That's funky like penicillin and doesn't flow with what was Snyder's M.O. at that time.

Far as Snyder and Allen and them not saying anything. Why should they? Snyder especially is loathed and hated much of it rightfully so, even by Skins fans who think his heart's in the right place, but his head is all kinds of fucked up when it comes to handling Skins business. I'd bet dollars to donuts the majority of people who have heard/seen Shanny's claims believe him cuz he's made Snyder the villain, which is very easy to do, and its a role Danny plays very well. I don't think Snyder is guilty this time, but if I'm wrong. I'm OK with that to and regardless of everything/anything else. Fuck Shanny all up in his gilly anymothafuckinway with his losing 40 games in 4 years including double digit losses 3 times and 3 last place finishes triflin ass.

The problem was not trading up for RG3... It was how much we gave to get there. It is hard to put a team in place when you spent so much on a question mark. Results...our 4th round QB out performed him and we could have had three more firsts and, was it one or two seconds?

One small caveat; Shanny was on the hot seat going into 2012. Without RG3 and his amazing rookie year Mikey boy may have gotten sacked after the season. Kirk would have struggled his first year, like all beginning QBs do and Shanahan wouldn't have lasted a third disastrous year in a row. Look how quickly he got kicked to the curb after 2013, just a year from a division title. I found it highly doubtful Snyder would have put up with him if The Skins had blown bollocks while waiting for Kirk to develop.

Plus how many would have been OK with Cousins, a fourth round rookie QB, announced as the starter, especially following the Beck and Grossman carasoul?

I am guessing more than you think. I believe many fans were tired of get rich quick schemes and many of us thought KC was going to go in the 2nd. If we had gone the patient route, we would have three more firsts and a second on the team.

I agree with gk, the price for a spread QB was way to steep. It might have been too steep for Luck. The only reason Griffin worked in 2012 was because they designed an offense he could succeed in and took the league buy surprise. If you remember the pre-season of 2012 Cousins outplayed Griffin by a mile. I remember Doc Walker saying they are not running the stuff in pre-season that they are running in practice. The stuff was the spread offense including read option.
