Btw, if we don't get him, I don't think there are any other players that are UFAs that we should sign this off season. Next year is much, much better. Maybe a guy like Mueller would be ok at a moderate contract.

Totally agree MC. We shouldn't force anything. Only sign Semin if the contract is a bargain, and I don't see that happening at all.

For the Devils, i am a fan of the red/black rather than the green/red. Just my preference.

But those Minny jerseys are certainly sweet... not gonna lie. I bet that's what sold Parise!! damnit!

I actually don't like the retro jerseys too much. Aside from the fact that I think they're an eyesore, they come from a losing atmosphere. I don't want them to ever change the jerseys or symbol, I'm all about tradition.

As for Semin, I'm hoping the fact that it's taking this long and there is so little interest in an elite talent is a wakeup call for him. Maybe he just needs a change of scenery to get his head on straight. I just hope we have the right guys to keep him in check.

For those saying we're doing 'nothing' or Lou is doing 'nothing', what go you make of the 29 other teams who've done nothing? Where a player goes and when they sign that deal is their choice. Honestly, much has been made of semin wanting to go somewhere comfortable.... Other Russians will weigh huge into that considering he barely speaks English.

The most sensible choices are Detroit or Nj. And we have a small edge there.

Eklund, I know I know, is stating that its between the Devils and Pens to get Semin. Also, Caps are willing to resign him. He says the Devils are the front runners however.

Earlier this week, or last week, I read an article where they contacted Semin's agent and asked him if he has heard from the Devils. His response was that he could not comment on it. If true, then yes he is talking to Lou.
