Just be a Lions fan now, when they win the Super Bowl, you can say you believed all along and nobody will call you a bandwagoner. It will be like the Red Wings when they sucked and then drafted Steve Yzerman. Except, in the Lions case, they didn't draft Steve Yzerman...

Supported them when they were in Los Angeles, Oakland, and I will when they are in LV. Probably make 2-3 trips a year there for dual purposes.

The old Raiders had something that no team will ever be able to replicate. These mythological figures like Ted Hendricks and Lester Hayes made the 1980 team, one for ages in my opinion.

True story of how I became a Bengals fan!
Being from a state without a pro NFL team, I was once much like you. In 1999, I decided I would pick a favorite pro team and I would pick one that had never won a Super Bowls. I wanted to pick a team that had a rich history, yet had never won the Super Bowl so that I could get in ahead of any success. I narrowed my choices down to two teams, the Patriots and the Bengals. I figured Akili Smith had more upside than Drew Bledsoe and went with the Bengals! The rest is history, so I say to you, pick carefully, pick very carefully!
