The guy that Texas has been putting in the OF? Interesting.Elier Hernandez
You can still play all 3. When Garver went on the IL, Huff should have been playing everyday. Huff and Lowe can switch between 1B and DH. But Woody was only playing him once a week. Duggar was getting more playing time Huff.i agree that Huff should get some playing time at 1st, C and DH but should they put Lowe, and/or Heim on the bench a majority of the time to do so?
after the trade deadline there will be 60 games left and hopefully the Rangers have moved on from Calhoun, Miller and Culberson and have brought Huff and others up (personally i would like to see Crim, Harris and Thompson but i'm sure there are several others that could be considered). with the right rotation of the 13 players all 13 could see action in between 41 and 42 with approximately 180 at bats and with 2days off. i think we would get some good looks at all with that
and in my scenario after the trade deadline Huff would play approximate 41-42 games out of the last 60 maybe more plus we would get to see several others about the same amount of timeYou can still play all 3. But they sub him in for Duran instead of Kolewe have a Solak sighting
Heim's got a ton of power and I think is a top-5 catcher. At least right now.Heim and Barajas are the only Rangers catchers to hit 3 doubles in a game.
Looks like the optimistic Tepid is back.
Impressed with the player; not impressed that they gave up on him as a starter.Off topic-
Really impressed with Brock Burke..
This deep into the season and has a 1.12 ERA
I just don’t see that happening. For some reason the organization is in love with Calhoun. I don’t think they will get rid of him. As long as he’s here, woody will play him everyday, either in the outfield or DH.and in my scenario after the trade deadline Huff would play approximate 41-42 games out of the last 60 maybe more plus we would get to see several others about the same amount of time
Did we ever get an explaination why they quit on him?Impressed with the player; not impressed that they gave up on him as a starter.

From the beginning I was not a fan of Calhoun being here for the same reason many of you have stated in that it takes away any playing time for our younger players. He has won some games with his bat and glove so while I appreciate that it defeats the purpose of our rebuild.i agree that Huff should get some playing time at 1st, C and DH but should they put Lowe, and/or Heim on the bench a majority of the time to do so?
