Yea I just do not get it.

especially with the affordable 1 year deals a few guys signed on at that could have helped our club with veteran players ( and veteran leadership )

JD Martinez - signed 1 yr for around $10mil or so I think
Korey Kluber - signed 1 yr for around $10mil

A legit DH and I think decent 1b and a veteran arm ( we got lucky last season as most starters stayed healthy )

If the M's do not have 20mil in the bank for a couple adds similar to those 2 that would clearly make us a better club... something is really wrong with the .org

And I pulled those 2 off the top of my head without really overthinking things.

I think there is little doubt that Dipoto will add another bat before opening day. And while we all would prefer it to be some potential targets from small market teams like Bryan Reynolds or Randy Arozarena or possibly even Ramon Laureano, it will be more like Dipoto to go cheap and roll the dice on a guy from the List of Mediocrity/Over The Hill below:
