Marlowe is a strike out machine and that is in the minors. Should be interesting what he does in the pros. 30-40% K rate I am guessing.
well..he would only see..back up duty...for know.....but he works on it and at it...ussually comes on..late in the season....which is nice...

by back up CF..i mean tacoma......not #4th..outfield....for know..

so a santader..trade..covers..kelenic..and takes a bit of presure..off of him...as a #4th outfield....and santander could Dh...if not in lf..so it works..

MLB Trade Rumors

Will the Mariners add a bat?

At the beginning of this offseason, there was something of a logjam in Seattle’s outfield, which was only exacerbated by their acquisition of Teoscar Hernandez from the Blue Jays. Since then, however, the Mariners have shipped out Kyle Lewis and Jesse Winker in separate deals, leaving them in a position where it could behoove them to add another bat to their outfield/DH mix. As things stand, Jarred Kelenic, Dylan Moore, and Cooper Hummel appear to be the primary internal options set to mix and match between left field and DH, and the addition of another bat could solidify that mix considerably. That could come through free agency, as Jurickson Profar remains on the market as an everyday option, while the likes of David Peralta and AJ Pollockcould be added as more complementary options. It would be no surprise, though, if the Mariners decided to explore the trade market, given the thinned out market for starting pitchers and Seattle’s willingness to deal one of Chris Flexen or Marco Gonzales to improve other areas of the roster. Should they choose to go this route, striking a deal with the Cardinals or Orioles could make some sense, as both teams have an excess of position player talent and could benefit from the addition of an arm like Flexen or Gonzales.

I am almost to the point to being happier with adding O'Neill via trade for Marco or Flexen and signing either Peralta or Pollock. Then use Kelenic for a trade of a very nice SP even if we add a few pieces to the deal.

If the thought of 1 of the: Kelenic - Moore and Hummel trifecta penciled into your line-up on a nightly basis doesn't scare them into making a legit effort at signing / trading for a legit big leaguer OF'er DH ( legit being a pedigree of success in MLB at both positions ) I don't know what will.

If we break camp and Trammel is in the dugout nightly with Kelenic our top brass has failed. Bundle Trammel and Gonzalez up and shop them around with a bag of money for a kicker and see what the market produces. if by the end of May and 120 at bats or so and Kelenic is batting below .225 ship him out to the best offer available or back to Tacoma for the rest of the season.

no way gonzales gets traded..to cardinals...flexen..yeah..he fits...

this makes sense..
Orioles could make some sense, as both teams have an excess of position player talent and could benefit from the addition of an arm like Flexen or Gonzales.

but mariners woud be left..with finding...a LHp....for #5..or bring up hancock...

trevor rodgers (miami)would work..for me....35..points...seattle does not have...

Only problem here is once we decide to use Kelenic the season, he is ours unless we give him away. If you don't trust him, ten you must deal him now or roll the dice with him.
