I agree but I can’t see Drury. From all reports Jerry didn’t want Drury because he was going to be a free agent. In no way does it make sense if Jerry was high on him he wouldn’t have made him included in the Castillo deal since what they gave up could’ve easily included both.My realistic team, and by realistic I mean M's can afford this.

They would be $200M+ in payroll but the fans showed they would fill the place if a winner was made.
I guarantee 163 in 95 and Cortez’ one playoff game against Miami I think in 99 in the dome were more electric. When Cortez came out my ears essentially started bleeding. And every strikeout out after Sojo’s inside the park grand slam the park was on fire. But point taken and jealous you got to go. I got to go to 1 playoff game in 2001 and from what I hear your crowd was 1,000 times better than any 2001 crowd. For those of you who weren't at the game, I can tell you that was by far the most electric crowd I've ever experienced at a baseball game and this comes from someone who has probably attended around 100 Mariners home games and gone to games at a dozen different stadiums, including at Yankee Stadium when they were playing the Red Sox. The energy and the noise was that of a rivalry college football game.
My friend told me he couldn't hear this on the broadcast, but most of the Astros lineup - specifically Altuve and Bregman - was heavily boo'd as they walked up to the plate and during the AB the stadium was loudly chanting either "Cheater" or "Fuck you cheater"
In the 14th inning they played take me out to the ballgame as if it was the 7th inning stretch, lol. Tough loss. Spent $330 on my ticket (was first row in section 108), but despite the loss that'll be a game I never forget.
Actually the opposite IMO. He wanted him, but didn't want to give up assets and have him walk which I agree with. But now all it costs is money so not sure why he would not want him now. I could care less if we get him, but because Dipoto had interest earlier it leads me to believe he will target him again.I agree but I can’t see Drury. From all reports Jerry didn’t want Drury because he was going to be a free agent. In no way does it make sense if Jerry was high on him he wouldn’t have made him included in the Castillo deal since what they gave up could’ve easily included both.
I see Hancock as trade bait to get a position player we can't get in free agency. I am fine if he stays. Never have enough young arms. Taylor Dollard is the other one I am guessing. They also have a Bryce Miller so I like the depth and I hope they keep it, but inability to sign guys may cause them to deal some. I think Brash pushes his way back into starting as well.I don’t think they are going to add a starter. They got two guys from the minors who will be on the roster, Hancock and I can’t remember the other dudes name right now.
The money is there for everyone. The choice to spend it is always the question.I’d love Diaz but 0% chance Jerry is going to spend the money on him, when realistically he has a better version of Diaz in Munoz. Rogers on the other hand for sure. I don’t know Hader’s contract exactly but since Jerry loves dealing with SD I am wondering what they would want for him.
Agreed and still not a Correa fan though he is a big upgrade.Turner is the number 1 ideal target if Jerry nuts up and tells JP he is a 2B in modern baseball. Correa didn’t live up to his deal this year but I can’t see how Correa and Story were on the market and Jerry said na, we got JP. Correa could’ve easily been had for the contract he was given by Minnesota.
They will keep JRod happy and play him where he wants to play is my thought. Two outfielders are needed and we don't have another starter in the organization. No idea what 1B is available, but ideally they could get a 1B and SS (moving JP to 2B). France being the DH is most ideal because he can play 3B and 1B. IMO they need a penciled in DH instead of leaving it open for the rotation of Haniger and Lewis. And 1 other option I would love is for them to get a CF. Love JRod but he is a COF not a CF.
All the guys I mention have trade valueBack to the original post:
I don't know if you give Winker another chance or deal him for a bag of balls if you could even get that for him.
Not sure if France is the answer. Guys that fail two years in a row late in the season have to be really looked at. Same goes for Sewald and Castillo. Time is up on Haniger unless it is a reasonable one year deal and you roster him as the 4th outfielder/DH guy. Do not go into the offseason with Lewis and Kelenic inked in as making the roster. They are tryout players nothing more. Add two more stud arms for the pen. Trade Swanson since they obviously have no faith in him.
I made the same prediction. Not sure why, but it just seems he isn't their favorite for whatever reason. I am good with it if it is a real bat.My other bold prediction is we deal Hancock this winter in a deal for a big bat
Binantendi..is only guy on the marketGuys I'd prefer gone:
Frazier
Winker (I get he has a year left but it didnt work out for either side, dont force it)
Haniger (sorry its time to move on)
Marco (we have enough depth here, throw him in a trade somewhere)
Kelenic (its a bummer, since it would be for pennies on the dollar but I think he's had enough of a chance)
My other bold prediction is we deal Hancock this winter in a deal for a big bat. I am not as convinced as I was about Marte never seeing Seattle but I am leaning that way.
Healthy haniger...is a good haniger. For his part, Haniger has indicated that he would prefer to remain in Seattle. Following up by saying that he hopes “to be back in a Mariners uniform for sure,” per Daniel Kramer of MLB.com.
