I like your Garcia idea but highly doubtful Texas will deal within the division nor does it really seem they would be sellers with the two contracts they dealt out.

I doubt they would deal him within the division but they have before so who knows. He is a pipe dream of mine, but the kind of player I would love. A modern day Buhner.

I would guess scouts would still love Evan White. Lewis eh, he would be a good sell to fans as a former ROTY but doubtful. Question is Kelenic, I still bet there are scouts that like him. But if Seattle does what they should this off-season then Kelenic has zero path to improving his stock, so doubtful he could be a centerpiece but a quantity over quality trade isn’t out of the question.

If injuries zapped his power, why did he play a career high 136 games? He should've received treatment sooner if that's legitimately the reason he struggled. The bad luck argument is also BS even when you look into the advanced stats. BABIP is generally a metric of how much "luck" a guy has had. His best years he had a BABIP above league average, and this year he had a BABIP significantly below average. So if you use that logic then it was a down year, but his best years were because he was lucky.

Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports that Andrew Chafin will decline his 2023 player option and test free agency.​

Chafin will turn down $6.5 million by declining the option, and get $500,000 in a buyout/signing bonus. The left-hander was the most consistent reliever for the Tigers in 202 with a 2.83 ERA and 67/19 K/BB ratio over 57 1/3 innings. He should see a decent market this winter from clubs looking for a high-leverage reliever who throws from the left side.
