Unless it is a playoff game, do fans really like extra innings? I get the purist aspect because it is goofy to put a guy on base but after the 11th I’m leaving the stadium or turning off the tv.

One starter..6 relief..I can go..with..12..inning..games..to.be played.
The next..day..till a team scores..
Unless..it is..the last..game..of a series..

I enjoy a quick ending to a game. 15+ inning games are for the young...lol.

Just to me, if it goes past 11, it isn’t really good unless it is the playoffs. In theory after 11 your bench is used and your best bullpen arms should’ve been used. I don’t like the rule but there isn’t any great way to solve that issue. I’m definitely not a fan of the bases now. I do like the pitch clock because it is cool with the kids, but all they had to do was have the umpires enforce the rule already on the books.

I dislike the analytics influence in the game but the purists need to realize that these guys aren’t getting paid the salaries of guys back when the game was “pure” so they can’t have it both ways.

The new rule: Pitchers will have 15 seconds to throw a pitch with the bases empty and 20 seconds with a runner on base. Hitters will need to be in the batter's box with eight seconds on the pitch clock.
