I am not to concerned about winning the division or playoffs because of this odd season. My main goal is to beat Houston and come out ahead of them. Looks like other teams have no lost love for them either.

Time will tell, but after seeing what Rendon signed for, I was 100% glad the Rangers passed.

Part of me will always wonder if the Angels assumed the Rangers would have to sign Rendon no matter what, and made an offer just to jack up the price, and then got stuck holding the bag.

I was going to say there was very little talk about Rendon during the Angels series. He definitely has started slow. I am also surprised how tough a going it has been for Ohtani and the guy has the tools.

To be consistent you should never be in favor of going after a top flight hitter then. That kind of thinking would have said we made a mistake when we signed Beltre. We paid the going rate for a very good hitter then and that is what Rendon got this time.

Comparing Odor and Rendon is worse than comparing apples and oranges. It is more like comparing apples and orangutans.
